how do you fully get rid of 'sendori', I removed all instances of it from registry with regedit & deleted associated folders but these winsocklsp files remain & even Hijackthis! won't delete them. Also tried Kasperky ssdk rootkit killer & several malware removers like spybot to no avail. Trying to avoid having to reinstall windows. TY 4 your time. View this thread

I have a question about settings in schedule scans. I change the settings to daily full scans from the default setting. Everyday now I wake up and find my Icon Yellow stating PC Potentially unprotected. Everyday now. I run the scan and is fixed. But this is happening everyday, has anybody experience this? Last night when I was shutting down, I got the message "install update and shut down". I chose that and this morning when I started Windows, I found that all of the data associated with my programs were missing and the start screen was as if I had just installed Windows 8. The programs were there but no data. I chatted with a Microsoft support person who told me that Microsoft does not support OEM installed software. She suggested a system restore, which worked. But, what went wrong and can I trust auto update any longer? View this thread

downloaded inbox.com thinking it was something else. It then started to come up as my first browser which I did not want. Went to control panel and uninstall section but IT IS NOT THERE. Thus, In can't uninstall it. I asked Windows to go back to an earlier version which stopped it popping up but it is still lurking in browser settings View this thread

I have recently had to reinstall my operating system (Windows XP) on my HP Pavilion laptop. I have been able to re-install up to and including the Service Pack 3. Recently, Windows 7 have downloaded some updates and after restarting my PC, it was showing that "updates are installing don't turn off your PC". Unfortunately, there was a power failure and my pc restarted. The problem has started from that time, when I'm trying to start Windows 7, it gives me 2 options Boot repair (recomended) Start Windows normally So ran the boot repair option and after successful boot repair. My PC restarted again. Then I select "Start Windows normally". After selecting that, there is a message pops up Fatal error C0000034 applying update operation 170 of 71128 (_00000..), just below the glowing windows icon on the boot screen. And nothing happens from that time. I've waited even for 30 mins and nothing happens at all.I don't know how to solve this problem. Please help. View this thread

I got this malware 'mixi dj search' accidentally while getting live streaming for the Formula 1 GP. I can't get rid of it! It's slowing my computer and from what i've read on the internet it's a nightmare. I ran my Norton 360 full system scan and it's still there. I ran the microsoft 64 bit safety scan that scanned over 2 million files taking 7hrs and 45 mins and the mixi dj scan is still there! I'm running windows 7 and don't know too much about stuff like this. I also deleted some programs that came with this malware. I want to get rid of it completely. Help ! Thanx Tedi View this thread

I have tried everything to get updates and it just does not happen. I need to watch a live cast on Friday and MSU needs me to have cookies in order for me to sign up. Windows Updates KB2656351 and KB2600217 have been (at first unknowingly) repeatedly installed, but the Update icon and the program itself keep telling me to install them. I ran the self diagnostic and it says default locations have changed, but it does not say how to fix this. If this is the problem, how is it repaired? View this thread

Okay so there were the updates on the 9th and 10th of April. On the 10th, the following were installed: KB915597, KB2813170, KB2799926, KB2817183, KB2760406, KB982726, KB2823324, KB2808735, KB890830, KB2813347. I've heard in my morning's searching that the one in bold has been causing issues and am looking to install that today if I need to. The updates for the ninth, titled "Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 for x64bit systems", was for whatever reason only installed last night (17th). That apparently included all the ones listed for the ninth, and, according to Installed Updates: Microsoft Windows English Hyphenation Package, Microsoft Windows English Spelling Package, Windows Internet Explorer 10, and security updates KB2586448, KB2559049 and KB2530548. After this update, the computer was turned on again for use. I've just been told that directly after, it did what happened below IN ADDITION to icons flickering upon logging into user accounts. The following happened last night right after the update to someone else (it was described to me), but what I wrote below is what I experienced this morning. It booted as normal, but when on the user login screen (the blue one with icons), well the login screen itself took far longer to show up than normal. Upon logging into a user account, that also takes much longer than usual (30 seconds up to 2 minutes by estimate) to finish. The 'Welcome' transition with the loading icon will stay there for longer than normal, and then at the point it would give way to the regular desktop, the screen remained black. The only visible thing was the cursor. The screen remained black until I pressed Esc, at which point all resumed as normal. From this point it operated normally. It's still operating normally, as if nothing's amiss. My computer is Windows 7 64 bit. It's new -- custom built by a computer store in February 2012, and so 14 months old. With 8 gigs of Ram any slowdown is very noticeable. I figured before I went uninstalling any updates (I haven't uninstalled any before, and this computer isn't fully backed up yet because we can't yet afford the storage media OR cloud storage), I would ask what may be causing this issue, or which update specifically. I need help quickly, because I'm worried about what might happen next time I log off. I think I may go ahead and uninstall KB2823324 immediately, come to think of it. Please, I need some answers.
