  7. This is a malware add-on to IE9. It cannot be removed. It slows down various web site openings and might be doing more harm besides that. I clicked on IE9's "tool;s"-"manage add-ons". It is listed there but the "enable-disable" buttons are greyed out. I have IE8. The legend under theadd-on is "wecarereminder class". Please help. Macfee did not detect it and I believe it is slowing down my computer. I can not disable it manually. View this thread

  21. I cannot install MSE on my WIndows XP computer. It was on but I could not turn on the real time protection this morning. Error code 0x800705b4. SO, after spending lots of time reading these forums, I uninstalled it and have tried SEVERAL of the fixes listed on the forum. Including running "fix it's" deep scan (2.5+hrs and no issues found). After rebooting, I tried to reinstall and got the error code 0x80070645. Again, via the forum, I tried removing the grayed out plug ins in device manager. Still the same code. The latest suggestion I read is Navigate to the below registry locations: followed by a bunch of stuff that I have no idea how to navigate to. HIKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > Installer > Upgrade codes..... I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO THIS! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME IN BASIC TERMS? Step by step? PLEASE!Melissa View this thread
  22. Hi I have a media PC with Windows Embedded Standard on it. It is configured to automatically install updates everyday. All users are allowed to install updates. The issue I am having is that it never seems to check for or install updates. If I manually check for updates, there are no errors and I am able to download and install updates. Normally a standard user is logged in but I have also tried this with an admin account logged in, and still have the same issue. There are no errors in Event viewer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. View this thread

  24. Is it possible to switch to Windows 7 from Windows 8? Windows 8 is extremely difficult to use with my non-touch screen laptop. I am having trouble with some of the most basic functionalities, such as Printing, Saving, Navigation between applications. Here are some of my difficulties: 1. It seems to default to full-screen for all applications, so I couldn't work with multiple applications at once. 2. It's difficult to bring up the toolbar for Printing, Save, Attachment, etc.. It despairs and shows-up randomly. View this thread
