I will be typing and suddenly my keystrokes are ignored and various shortcuts appear as a response to my typing. Everything can be fine and all of a sudden the keyboard has a mind of it's own. It will not correct until I reboot. View the thread

The laptop is upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8 pro version, everything about windows 8 is good except one thing, whenever the computer is rebooted, windows always turns off the wifi, I have to manually go to settings enable the wifi again. I installed Windows 8 Enterprise on my work laptop, created a local account and got all the drivers installed. I added my live account which is a gmail account, no problems adding it. The first time I tried to login, I got an error that I need to be connected to the internet or something. I was connected hardwired and had a valid connection on the local account. Couldn't get it to work. I ended up throwing an SSD into it and reinstalling windows. Now when I even try to add my live account or link it to my local account I get this error: Sign in with a Microsoft Account. We're sorry, but something went wrong. My hard drive crashed and i did a complete reinstall of Vista no problem here other than not paying attention I installed the OS on a 80 gig drive other than the new 320 gig that was intended. After the fresh install and all new updates I have 25 gigs free space. I would like to know if i can install any new programs on my drive d: rather than filling drive c: to capacity View this thread

Buenas tengo un portatil Medion "de estos pequeños", que no tiene lector de CD. El echo es que lo formatearon en una tienda de reparaciones e instalaron windows xp pero no se como lo hicieron que borraron la particion donde venía el disco de arranque para reinstalar. La cuestión es que ahora no puedo formatearlo por mi mismo. Existe alguna forma de crear una partición con los discos de arranque del sistema y que este se arranque desde esa particion pra formatear el sistema operativo? I recently bought a laptop with Windows 8. However over the last few days I have noticed the space on my hard drive gradually reducing when I am not adding anything to the hard drive. I noticed today the hard drive space reduced by 1gb when I emptied the recycle bin (only deleted around 10mb of data). Is there any reason why this might be happening? View the full article

Hello, I am running Outlook 2013 under Windows7 Pro. The search within Outlook works perfect, but I am used to also get Outlook results from the Windows Search under the "Start" menu: Office documents are beeing displayed but no Outlook Mails as it used to be under Outlook 2010. Sometimes my applications (Adobe reader, Windows Live Mail,...) refuse to open files encrypted with EFS (error messages like "...cannot open...seems to be corrupted..."). I now found out that it helps to perform a simple reboot to regain the required access. But when I decrypt such a file before, it's no more usable even after a reboot. Since I've repeatedly encountered this on different machines, I start to think that there may be a bug in EFS which might even lead to data destruction - something that I want to avoid of course. The question for me now is whether I missed something that I should have taken care of, or if I should stop using EFS completely (guess it's hard to find an alternative that works similarly without needing to preallocate drive space like Truecrypt requires it). Hi, I would just like to query regarding the error 012913 that customers are getting when they are trying to redeem the free upgrade from Office 2010 to Office 2013/Office 365 Home Premium Subscription. What would be the cause of the error message and how can we bypass it? One information that we got is to transfer the call to the Microsoft Store Team yet this is not a sure fix for the customer.
