  3. My laptop is a Compaq Presario CQ61 and I'm running Windows Vista 32-bit service pack 2. I've had it for over two years. I turned it on today and it's asking me to activate Windows. I have no idea why it's doing this. It is a legitimate copy bought and activated two years ago. When I go to Control PanelSystem and MaintenanceSystem, under the Windows Activation section I have the message:"You must activate today. Activate Windows now"Product ID: XXXXX-XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXX "Change product key"Apparently my product key is invalid, but as I've mentioned, I've been using it for nearly two years. This is an urgent issue as I'm currently abroad and require my laptop to organize flight details back home in a week. Any speedy assistance would be much appreciated.Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool output:Diagnostic Report (1.9.0027.0):-----------------------------------------Windows Validation Data-->Validation Status: GenuineValidation Code: 0Cached Online Validation Code: N/A, hr = 0xc004f012Windows Product Key: *****-*****-Y2QYV-DJ8W3-749T4Windows Product Key Hash: JCyoK5+4wrzubemFqCsOJCkCjTA=Windows Product ID: 89572-OEM-7236386-91449Windows Product ID Type: 8Windows License Type: COA SLPWindows OS version: 6.0.6002.2.00010300.2.0.002ID: {3A06CD88-04F4-485B-BC9E-718B6A5EF56F}(1)Is Admin: YesTestCab: 0x0LegitcheckControl ActiveX: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Product Name: Windows Vista Home BasicArchitecture: 0x00000000Build lab: 6002.vistasp2_gdr.120402-0336TTS Error: Validation Diagnostic: Resolution Status: N/AVista WgaER Data-->ThreatID(s): N/A, hr = 0x80070002Version: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Windows XP Notifications Data-->Cached Result: N/A, hr = 0x80070002File Exists: NoVersion: N/A, hr = 0x80070002WgaTray.exe Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002WgaLogon.dll Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002OGA Notifications Data-->Cached Result: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Version: 2.0.48.0OGAExec.exe Signed By: MicrosoftOGAAddin.dll Signed By: MicrosoftOGA Data-->Office Status: 100 GenuineMicrosoft Office Home and Student 2007 - 100 GenuineOGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0Signed By: MicrosoftOffice Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-364-80041010_025D1FF3-229-80041010_025D1FF3-230-1_025D1FF3-517-80040154_025D1FF3-237-80040154_025D1FF3-238-2_025D1FF3-244-80070002_025D1FF3-258-3_E2AD56EA-765-d003_E2AD56EA-766-0_E2AD56EA-134-80004005Browser Data-->Proxy settings: N/AUser Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Win32)Default Browser: C:Program FilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exeDownload signed ActiveX controls: PromptDownload unsigned ActiveX controls: DisabledRun ActiveX controls and plug-ins: AllowedInitialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe: DisabledAllow scripting of Internet Explorer Webbrowser control: DisabledActive scripting: AllowedScript ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting: AllowedFile Scan Data-->Other data-->Office Details: {3A06CD88-04F4-485B-BC9E-718B6A5EF56F}1.9.0027.06.0.6002.2.00010300.2.0.002x32*****-*****-*****-*****-749T489572-OEM-7236386-914498S-1-5-21-2720355562-718120544-2691774524Hewlett-PackardSLIC-MPCHewlett-PackardF.0220090316000000.000000+00001303507018400F808090409SE Asia Standard Time(GMT+07:00)03HPQOEMSLIC-MPC100100Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007125CE2BDBED489F0CCR0A/aGjBoM8X25bdzhcEmoD+Ww=81602-902-4416695-681101 Spsys.log Content: 0x80070002Licensing Data-->Software licensing service version: 6.0.6002.18005Name: Windows Vista, HomeBasic editionDescription: Windows Operating System - Vista, OEM_COA_SLP channelActivation ID: 91dbad68-4713-4f9c-b351-6e77a8361741Application ID: 55c92734-d682-4d71-983e-d6ec3f16059fExtended PID: 89572-00144-363-891449-02-2057-6002.0000-1532012Installation ID: 001836301832121251725440964132635350610056074891664680Processor Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43473Machine Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43474Use License URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43476Product Key Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43475Partial Product Key: 749T4License Status: LicensedWindows Activation Technologies-->N/AHWID Data-->HWID Hash Current: NAAAAAEAAgABAAIAAQABAAAAAwABAAEAeqjuyTbovOx6f0AU9mXWFfL0+H6w9s5lrFZGyg==OEM Activation 1.0 Data-->N/AOEM Activation 2.0 Data-->BIOS valid for OA 2.0: no, invalid SLIC tableWindows marker version: N/AOEMID and OEMTableID Consistent: N/ABIOS Information: ACPI Table Name OEMID Value OEMTableID Value APIC HPQOEM SLIC-MPC FACP HPQOEM SLIC-MPC HPET HPQOEM SLIC-MPC BOOT HPQOEM SLIC-MPC MCFG HPQOEM SLIC-MPC ASF! 7. je n'ai plus de son à mon pc. Ok sorry thanks very much View the thread

  9. Hi All, A custom installation of Office 2010 was deployed via a computer startup script. Office customization tool was used. Part of the setup included configuring Outlook with a default sharepoint list with Contacts that reside on our sharepoint 2010 server. Now the sharepoint lists URL and stssync has changed...i need to remove the configured default list on all computers. Whats been done I've edited the original office MSP file used in the custom installation and removed the sharepoint lists from it. I've also set the option to disable. Then reapplied the OCT over a test machine, then logged into the machine as a fresh user BUT when outlook is launched the sharepoint list is there..why? I've tried using a GPO to disable and reapply a new default sharepoint list, but the original one added by the OCT is still there along side of the new one. The only way i can seem to remove it is using an outlook.exe /cleansharing switch to clear the list. It works fine. Can someone please tell me how to remove all sharepoint lists in the most effective way. I have 100 computers that need the lists removed. Ben. View this thread
  10. When I right click on the desktop to create a new Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation, the icon is incorrect. What I am expecting is: http://extremetechsupport.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/6ed06dbd99aaccc5ce43133f19a6e165._.jpg But what I get is: http://extremetechsupport.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/56b7470cf86b2524dc94d0d6e7533fd3._.jpg Despite my best efforts, (rebuiding icon cache, re-establishing file associations, etc), I just cannot get the icon to revert to the "full P". There is no problem with the similar Excel and Word icons. The weird thing is that on every re-start, the correct icon is displayed for a milli-second before it reverts to the 'wrong" image. Ideas, anyone? View this thread

  19. I recently moved my operating system from a hard drive to an SSD. It seems to have moved successfully -- mostly. That is to say that Windows 7 loads. But it cannot find my desktop, and it tells me that my Windows is not genuine (but it is). Task Manager will allow me to establish a command prompt, but if I try to access any system files it tells me that it cannot find the path (even if I browse to the file). I think I either need to rename the drive from G to C (presumably by using MMC) or to activate the administrator account from the command line. Does anybody know how to do this? View the thread
  20. For some time we are running Outlook BCM 2010 in a client-server setup: - Server has BCM server tool running the database (Server's OS (SBS-2011), BCM server tool etc. all installed in Dutch) - Clients run Outlook 2010 (in Dutch) with OUtlook BCM 2010 (in Dutch) All fine so far. The problem now is that I hired a English speaking sales guy, that has an all-English-language laptop setup (Win 7 + Office 2010). But how do I get him an English language version of Outlook BCM 2010??? I noticed that the other way around (server is English, clients's BCM is English, there is a Dutch language pack available). But that would require a full reinstall of all.... But I want it the other way around?? Or find an English BCM 2010. but MS's sites only allow me to download Dutch versions since my Office versions are all Dutch.... Who has a solution for me?? View this thread

  22. I work for a company which produces software and one of our products is old enough that it will not run on 64 bit Windows so requires Windows XP Mode. We would normally ask our customers (who are businesses) to download Windows XP Mode then install our product, but we have a customer who does not have internet access on their office PC and cannot download from there. The office PC is Windows 7 Ultimate 64. They can download from their home PC which is a 32bit version of Windows 7 but this causes problems as if they select to download the 64bit XP Mode the Microsoft authentication check won't run (presumably because it's running the 64bit checker on a 32bit PC). So, my question is, are we legally allowed to download the XP Mode installer (plus Virtual PC installer) using our Windows 7 Pro 64 machine and post it to them on a DVD? Or will this cause complications in itself being a different version of Windows to the target machine? (Ultimate 64) Thanks in advance! View the thread
