Hi, I have been told by Epson support that the following is a Microsoft issue. I have an Epson WF 3520 printer. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. I have tried loading drivers from the disk supplied with the printer / scanner and also tried loading new drivers from Epsom's site as advised by them. I have done this many, many times uninstalling and deleting appropriate files between attempts. The printer drivers load fine and I can print wirelessly with no issues. But I can not load the scanner drivers no matter what I do. Every time I try I get the message "cannot load scanner drivers". I have successfully loaded drivers and used the printer and scanner on two other laptops - one running the same version of Windows 7 and one running Windows 8. Any assistance would be appreciated. Windows Media Player 11 - will play videos (.MOD files) and DVDs but with NO AUDIO. It plays music (.mp3) files fine with sound, so I know the speakers work fine. PowerDVD program will play video and audio fine, but not Media Player (or RealPlayer for that matter). I seem to remember having this sound problem before but was able to get it fixed, somehow. I had to reformat my computer over the winter though and am now having this sound issue again. I don't know if it is a codec problem or what, and if it is a codec problem I have no idea how to fix it. I am using Windows XP, SP 3. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you. hi, Everytime i update Java or Adobe, my computer will run fine until i switch off. When i turn it all on, the tower does not turn on properly, the monitor switch flashes on/off and a blank screen. After turning on/off several times, it will finally kick in but goes to self repair, i get a message saying the issue is with downloaded software. It then restores to a previous point. This has only started happening the last couple months. It did it again this morning after i downloaded Java update 21. It has unstalled it and i dont have Java running at the moment. please no techy language... i come from a world of thingy's and whatsits with some doodads thrown in. Very simple explanations needed. hello, I have a acer aspire 5920g, I bought it 4 years ago. I can't restart vista. I trsyed all options (safe mode, safe mide with prompt .....etc) stuck in black screen. I put the original cd to restore the entire system and doesn't work. I did this mwny time (i selected yhe boot stsrting with cd). Now shows a systems recovery options box asking to select a syste) or if yhe box doesn't show anything click on the load driver button. I didn't known which driver so I clicked on next button and im right now in the window "choose a recovery tool". I just bought a new Lenovo laptop with Windows 7. I was able to move all my old folders to the new computer using an external harddrive. But here's the problem: When I try to create a new folder nothing happens. For example, if I'm in "documents" and I click "New Folder" in the bar on top, nothing happens. No new folder is created. Windows lets me copy and paste folders, so I have that temporarily (i copy and pasted a folder, emptied it and renamed it), but I really don't want to do that with all the time, especially not with new computer. I tried running the Microsoft Safety Scanner but that didn't fix the problem.HELP! View the thread

I have a windows 7 laptop, and just recently my laptop's internet stopped working. Every network I try to connect to always says that it is an unknown network and that it is connected but has no internet connection. Does anyone know what might be causing this? I cant update my drivers, as I have no internet to download it from. Windows XP Pro SP3.ntvdm.exe has suddenly stopped working whether I run cmd.exe or command.com. No error messages, no prompt, just a blinking cursor. If I run cmd.exe all of the internal DOS commands like DIR & CD work fine, but when I try to run one of my DOS programs ntvdm.exe starts and hangs. When I run command.com ntvdm.exe starts immediately and hangs.This started when I installed a trial version of Nero 9 CD Burner. I discovered this problem and uninstalled Nero 9 about 2 hours later, but the problem persists. The Nero tech support crew had me do a scan and send it to them, but concluded that they didn't do anything to my computer to cause this problem. I have noticed that I have an empty folder named WindowsPowerShell in the windowssystem32 directory, but I don't know if it was there before installing Nero 9. I've never used it. I also noticed there was no dosx.exe in the windowssystem32 directory. I copied it from the dllcache folder and that made no difference. Seven weeks searching on the net has produced nothing. I discovered Process Monitor from Sysinternals yesterday and installed it. Fascinating program! After scanning through thousands of lines of the events after ntvdm.exe starts until it hangs, several times, the only thing I've found is one 'access denied' to something ntvdm.exe did. I don't recall the details. No missing files.This is driving me crazy! Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated! View this thread

I can no longer find the TCP/IP version 4 on my Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop using Windows XP. I need this version to connect to my internet provider.
