  2. Hi David. I think you will find it's there. Install Easybcd boot manager and see if you can find it. Scroll to the bottom and select the free version. If your not sure how to use EasyBCD just ask. http://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/
  3. Hi. I use a program called "everything" to find every entry of a program I wish to delete. What program were you trying to install as some have separate uninstall tools? Just type what program it is and highlight entries and choose delete. I normally select about 6 at a time and delete. See how you go. http://www.voidtools.com/

  8. Sorry Gary I missed one of your posts. Looks like you have a damaged or corrupt boot.ini file. Have you got an install os disc? You will need to perform a startup repair.
  9. This has something to do with SIMSIG. If you have Norton Antivirus please disable it.
  10. Hi. I would first disconnect everything USB except keyboard and mouse and start in Safe Mode, tapping F8 repeatedly on boot. What message do you get?

  13. It is possible you keep installing the same Microsoft problem update. As discussed earlier you need to set your Microsoft updates to manual and install each update one at a time.When you find the problem update then hide it.   14. Avast won't be an issue.If you wish you can change Avast updates from Automatic to Manual under "Tools" >"Updates".

  18. Hi. You said you tried what I said. Let's try it a different way. When you have a youtube green screen, right click on the screen and uncheck hardware acceleration. Click close. Option 2 When utube video showing green, right click on the (cog) bottom of video, click quality and drop the quality to 360. What shows now?   21. Yesterday with 29.01 every video I opened it said the Firefox plug in wasn't working.I uninstalled and reinstalled the plug in without success. I installed Firefox 30 and testing. Plugin works again and running like a dream at the moment after many hours. No more Pop ups and not one hitch to date.

  23. Hi. I am not a gamer, however reading up even Gamers using very expensive Graphics cards are having issues. I did read "there is a 60FPS cap built into the game Wolfenstein does not support Crossfire or SLI, it is suggested that you disable that mode for the best experience." HTH.
  24. I get this message at least twice a day "Firefox has stopped working" No reason I can find as yet what is causing this message. I go into Task Manager and kill one of the Firefox processors and all is good again. A PITB.
