  1. Good to have you here. Thanks for the help.
  2. Hi. A good thread. I'm wondering if a system restore might help to get you back to before you had a problem since you can get into safemode. The advice given by Makkcalable is sound.
  3. Hi Andy. Welcome and feel free to ask anything. Jump right in and help too if you want.
  4. Hi. Can you try your monitor on another computer or try a different monitor on your computer? This would help determine if it is a monitor issue or another issue.
  5. The ads are automatically generated and not necessarily condoned by us. Personally I steer clear of all such driver programs. I don't have any experience with phones connecting to computers. Are you saying that two Samsung phones are not being seen by two different computers? By the way is this your phone? http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=1903&prd_mdl_cd=GT-E2100MKBCYO&prd_mdl_name=GT-E2100B&srchword=GT-E2100B
  6. Just in case Ken is not around I'm betting he is right but wait for Ken. With nothing connected to the mobo you should have got a post beep. As Ken said a power supply or mobo issue seems the cause. As you do get power to the monitor It's likely the mobo. The power supply could be putting out a small amount but not enough to fire up the computer even though your monitor turns on. But I would have thought if it had that much power you should have got a post beep. Wait for Ken but I'm betting mobo.
  7. Hi sunbird. Try the F11 key on your keyboard.
  8. Thank you very much. Carry on.
  9. Good to know. Add a little RAM and you will have one fine machine.
  10. Hi. If it runs fine when not connected to the office network you should contact your office tech. The mmpool error can be associated with an external device so again a visit with your tech might help. You could check device manager just to be sure there are no driver issues but you seemed to have done all the right things after the reinstall. As I said this should be discussed with them as the errors seem to point to connecectivity issues with your office server. There is no way for us to diagnose that unfortunately. By the way I was able to get a translation of your screenshot.
  11. It's almost impossible to find anything like that on a PB. However one usually accesses the drive by removing the side panel not the front panel. Once inside it's a matter of screws, clips, sliders or a combination. Were this a a cd or floppy drive the front panel sometimes needs to be removed depending on the case but rarely with a HDD. PB support unfortunately is lacking.
  12. I wish I could help but it seems what you need is not just software but an intrinsict knowledge of business software, computer code and a good tech. A good tech will have such knowdledge but they will be expensive as will the software you will need. Sorry but no easy button on this one or free.
  13. What is this? http://consumer.installshield.com/ This or other software you installed may be a cause not a solution. I really see no need for this type of software and often times it is bogus and causes problems. Personally I would uninstall it and see how things run. If that does not help I would consider that other installed software or malware are at the root of the problem. I'll contact our malware experts and have them take a look at this thread just in case.
  14. I'm sorry but I'm afraid we are going to need much more detailed information. Anything you can supply will be greatly appreciated.
  15. I agree. It appears your processor is faulty.
  16. It does seem your computer meets the requirements for the game so I'm at a loss. It could be a hardware issue like memory or your card but I just don't know. Have you tried running the game at a lower setting?
  17. If I remember right the disclaimer is to not use the format option which would wipe the drive. The disk can be used to just check the drive status. No harm with that option. However if you can back up files then you should. That is good advice whether you have issues or not.
  18. Is it just the one game? Do you have a CPU: dual core 2.0 GHz processor? Did you download the drivers from the ATI site? Did you tic the box to show older restore points? There are a lot of pavilion dv6 models so I can't look up your specs based only on that.
  19. Is everything working? Have you tried System Resore?
  20. I can't seem to find that file on my computer. Can you get into safemode?
  21. Yes that is what I mean. Download, unzip and burn to a cdrom this file ESTOOL301v_CDROM.zip from http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/support/downloads/support_in_es.html The instructions are on that page as well as the link to the file. It's an ISO file so when I click on it my burning software opens so it can make the ISO (image) file on a cdrom. I've used these utilitities many times. It really is quite easy to do. At least this way you will know if it is the drive or not.
  22. Most drive manufacturers will have a drive test program you can run. Do you know what drive you have?
  23. The first thing I found might be worth a try. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310049
