  1. Ron, You can do this with a no-cd/dvd fix - and I have known developers of games to recommend this as a course of action too (even though they shouldn't) :D I will have a look at ISO buster later as I know it can do what you have asked I just can't remember from memory :) As for products needing updates - that was not the original point :D From what I remember of Daemon tools it was just a virtual mounting software and I moved away from that a long time ago as listed above because no-cd/dvd registry fixes can do the exact same. I do understand what you are saying BUT there are always better tools for doing a specific job - its just peoples preference in terms of what they actually decide to use :) I WILL get back to you on the ISO buster
  2. Hi, Welcome to FPCH :)
  3. Ron, If you have ever read what Gamejackal actually does - it's insulting to a gamers intelligence - it's just a no-cd/dvd fix and virtual image mounting software, the latter is not needed. I write my own no-cd/dvd fixes myself via the registry.
  4. Gavin - you will never be able to keep your info away from prying eyes on a PC (if there is more than one admin) - you need to physically move what you do not want others to see to another location entirely. Even with the best encryption software - if people want to get into it there are always ways, as others have suggested - you and your friend need to have seperate devices to store personal information on.
  5. In order to 'flash' the BIOS - you have to visit the MOBO manufacturers website and under your MOBO model there will be a sub section called BIOS updates - I truly hope that MSI now do a 'windows environment update' as they never used to and you have to use floppy disks - seeing as though you are asking how to do this - I recommend that you do not perform the flash until you have read all the info needed. This is the page for your board MSI -- MICRO-STAR INT'L CO., LTD.= I have never seen or heard of a BIOS needing an updated BIOS to run a GPU - a CPU yes as there are lots of variables Also there is no need whatsoever to have an 800watt PSU with that setup - 400 would easily cope
  6. Hi, Welcome to FPCH :)

  8. Glad its all sorted :)
  9. Hi, Welcome to FPCH :)
  10. That case I have used before on a build and it will be sufficient as it has a fan at the top aswell as the back - basically where the CPU and GPU heat build up - you will need an extension for the 4pin ATX cable though as I know for a fact the PSU is at the bottom of the case and the 4pin ATX slot on the centre top of the MOBO :D It will be far superior to what you have at the moment :)

  12. Doing it now :)
  13. Your at your £500 limit just with the first 4 items listed :D Also that PSU only comes with one PCI-E 6 pin and you need 2 of them to power a 4850 or 4870 and if you want to OC it then you need a 6 pin PCI-E and an 8 pin PCI-E :) That case is ok BUT if you are looking at keeping the PC a while I would spend an extra £40 or so and get the 1200 antec case :) Monitors, mice, keyboard and speakers are all personal preference really :) SO do you have more of a budget now or are you dreaming of what you can get :D
  14. No problem - glad its all sorted - :)
  15. It depends - normally you would have to OC the MOBO and some MOBO's are frankly rubbish at OC'ing. Have a look at the MOBO website as there may be a BIOS update to support the higher FSB

  17. Right - first of all have a look in the MOBO manual and see what the maximum amount of RAM it is capable of supporting speed and GB size that is and then post back. The problem with MOBOs like what you have said very rarely come with info other than in the user manual
