Hey all. I have a Generic.list(of windows.controls.Control) I KNOW that all the items in the collection have a .Text property. However, 'Control' doesn't have a text property. The trouble is, there are 4 or 5 different types within the list, so I cannot make the list more specific than 'Control'. *Is there any way I can access these properties, without having to have an Elseif and directcasting for each type? Literally, I have 10G of free space on C: after 30min all is gone and windows (Server 2003) doesn't see the missing space at all. Chkdsk didn't help, and I tried to see with Filemon who is messing with my HDD but HDD activity is very low and only standard/well know apps are running, after reboot all space is back, but after 30min I have 0K on C: again help? My number one Vista feature is the One click shutdown / sleep button (instead of being presented with a Dialog box with options (ala XP)) Its a small touch but helps make the computer feel more like an "appliance". Need to runas Sims 2 on my kids computer on the kids account, just a*basic user or whatever it's called, Dad account is admin. But I don't want to put my password into the shortcut target or anything like that. Is there a way to always runas it as my admin account? Or do I have to go over every time they want to play? Not sure what it is but it just seems utterly impossible for tiger to use a network shared printer from Vista.. file shares are fine, login goes as expected.. but when doing print sharing.. tiger just comes back with: "unable to connect to server with the provided password and user name" It seems as if tiger doesn't unify its method of network authentication over its printer app and finder.. I've tried a ton of things, such as adjusting the network authentication level, disabling digital signing*on Vista, and doing manual 'samba connection strings' on tiger (although I don't think these should work anyway).. I've read about setting up LPD and being able to print via this.. I'm wondering if anyones got a Vista machine with a shared printer and also another machine running Tiger or Leopard and what your experiences are? Btw this used to work in 2003 / XP, albeit probably with some of the changes above on the Windows machine to allow arguably poor network authentication support that is in OS X so far.. Hi folks, I am an Engineering student doing final year B.E computer science and Engineering in Tamil Nadu, India. I am doing a project related to Multi-point i.e., enabling multiple mouses to handle a single application with different cursors for each user.
