We're using MS Sql Server 2005.* Now im used to dealing with the excellent MySql.* With MySql i was able to save out a Sql query that represented my data within a table.* I want the same output from a couple of my Sql Server 2K5 tables.* Basically Im after the following output: INSERT INTO MyTable (Field1, Field2) VALUES (data1, data2) Where Field1/2 is an actual field name and data1/2 are actual data pulled from the dbase.* I can then take this sql output and run it on a different dbase to insert the data. How do i save out the data in my sql server 2k5 table in this way? Thanks. More... View All Our Microsft Related Feeds

Does anyone know where I can find a detailed list of the differences between the PKI services in Server 2008 Standard vs Enterprise. For example 2003 differed wrt Version 2 certificate templates, role seperation enforcement and a few other things, but I can't find any docs that go into the same sort of detail about 2008 yet. Thanks, Stephen. More... View All Our Microsft Related Feeds

A suggestion for the site.* When downloading a video, the server should return a MIME type of application/octet-stream so that the browser tries to save the file by default, rather than simply launching the appropriate player.* This would be a simple change and could save users confusion, frustration and bandwidth :) Love the site and this is the only constructive feedback I can give beyond praise.* Keep the great content coming. As a child, I had an advent calendar, but I was mostly hoping for more and better chocolat.* I spent my adolescence*time in germany, and I would do it again.* I had so much fun there, but again, most of the local fun-time was based around some form of "christ was born", "buy stuff".* It seemed, at the time, like a giant money making machine. So, I love christmas.* I love the lights.* I love the fact that "if you have no money, you can still have fun".* I love the lack of managerial monitoring.* I love the fun that comes from going to a bar on christmas eve and drinking more than you'd ever expect.* And paying for the rest of the bar.* I love the fact that you can still pay for the night and when its all over, you try to remember her name, but she's not insulted, and you aren't embarassed.* I love that when you decide to go get some food, you remember that most restaraunts are closed, and you laugh and then you try to make pancakes. I just can't seem to find why god needs to be involved with all this fun. I just want some damn pancakes. More... View All Our Microsft Related Feeds

publicpartialclassmp_main : System.Web.UI.MasterPage { protectedvoid Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!Page.IsPostBack) { Page.Title = Blog.Title; Title.Text = Blog.Title; Subtitle.Text = Blog.Subtitle; } } } When it reaches Title.Text assignment gives a null reference exception. I know its able to pull the Title back from the data access layer because the Page Title setting was my informal unit test. So if not during page load when should one set such things in a Master Page :) Any ideas.
