Rereading that one line above, I have to agree with RandL. If your only access is through the employer's website this is not simply a calendar that will sync with Outlook such as Google Calandar. More likely than not we could not help you anyway since the site is clearly being administered by someone with unrestricted access. The time setting issue may be with your PC settings (is your clock set for the proper time zone?) It also may have been an unanticipated result of incorrect settings done by whomever set it up. I am reasonably sure that in today's world access to the calendar from a remote location is probably desirable for the employer it would, however, still not be our call.

Is this a web based calendar, Jet, and if so which. With regard to the time settings, I would assume that the program is US based and will display time based on a default time zone. Look to the program settings for the ability to set the proper time.

safe to screw an internal HDD to base of pc?
BeeCeeBee replied to Kingpin's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
Kingpin, I am not having a go at you when I acknowledge that times are rotten and that we need to save where we can. That doesn't change the fact that you need to have a hard drive properly supported as Dirty Polo already noted. Truthfully, each time you try to explain what you have done I get more confused. The brackets or cage that used to support a hard drive have been removed and put into some other tower or case. Is that correct? The fact remains that you need to match up the set screw holes on the hard drive with a bracket to hold it properly. I have no idea what these rounded screws look like. For all I know they are rivets. If you want to try to find a picture or a link to what you mean I am sure that someone will point out the proper tool if there is one. -
You are most welcome !

safe to screw an internal HDD to base of pc?
BeeCeeBee replied to Kingpin's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
This is totally confusing to me. There has to be a place for a hard drive. If you have only room for one then there are ways to improve your capacity using external measures. But there has to be a place for a hard drive. -
safe to screw an internal HDD to base of pc?
BeeCeeBee replied to Kingpin's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
If I understand you correctly you want an old hard drive added to your system as an internal hard drive, perhaps as a slave. You have nowhere to put it so you want to screw it onto the metal case and run the cabling to it from inside the cabinet. Is that correct? Leaving aside the fact that there is nowhere to safely screw a hard drive to anything, I figure it will take about 10 minutes for the static electricity to hit it. If you want to use the drive I would suggest you get a caddy for it and use it as an external drive. -

Just go into your control panel making sure you are an administrator. Go into user accounts and click on the account to be deleted and it will give you that option. Be certain that you are the only user logged in. It there are files in the other account that you want to keep you will have to move them either to shared files or a new folder to be shared.

I am going to ask you to try safe mode once again but this time use the command prompt set forth in the following. Do not be put off by the statement that it is to be used for computers that will not start. Just follow the directions. If this fails we will look into other means of getting you back to normal. How to start the System Restore tool by using the safe mode option with the Command prompt in Windows XP- 67 replies

Sometimes getting into safe mode can be a bit tricky with different computers. Please try again perhaps with longer slower taps as opposed to morse code style.- 67 replies

Hi new member with an xp problem
BeeCeeBee replied to daktariSA's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
I was afraid you would say that. Please try to see if you can do the exact same from safemode. To get to safemode restart your computer and slowly tap (not hold) the F8 key as it begins to boot. You should be taken to a black screen with a number of choices. Select safemode with or without networking by using the arrows and see if you can perform a system restore from there. Safe mode will look very different from your desktop. That is normal. I do not expect that you will be able to do the restore but it is well worth a try.- 67 replies

Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help daktari! I am afraid that you have been taken for a bit of a ride. Registry editors can be very dangerous unless you are both careful and knowledgeable. Free programs that do part of a job and then try to scam you into paying for more are the most dangerous of all. The first thing you need to do is try a system restore to a day prior to your using the registry editor. Hopefully it has not interfered with your ability to do so. Simply select System restore from your program files. It can be found under accessories and then system tools. Please get back to us and we will try to sort this out from there.- 67 replies

C-D rom/ DVD drive not working
BeeCeeBee replied to xxunluckyxx's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
I believe that error 10 usually refers to missing or corrupt drivers. Please give us the make and model of your machine and we should be able to direct you to the right place to get the drivers safely. Do you have any separate driver software discs that came with your laptop. -
Euro symbol printed as a 'box'
BeeCeeBee replied to terry dennis's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
Since it appears that you have a UK keyboard and the symbol appears on your screen (even in bold?) it would seem that the issue is with your printer. If you give us the make and model that will be of some help. It does seem that you may need a driver update. -
High CPU with problem-please help
BeeCeeBee replied to ryan8795's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
Just one question to complete the package for others, When you cleaned the dust out did you remove the heatsink for cleaning? -
I am afraid that the time has come for you to decide how much you want to keep your data and find someone who you trust to turn your drive over to. The last thing you want to do is make it worse. Tootech can tell you just what to be looking for. I would trust his judgment, in fact I always do when it comes to these things. :) It is very easy to get fleeced. Just be careful.
-
No it does mean that the drivers are probably missing for your graphics card. Do you have any discs that may have come with your PC? Are you able to locate your graphics card in device manager?
-
It is possible that you are missing the proper drivers but please try to set the resolution first. If you are able to do it and it works then there is probably no need to look to the drivers unless other issues emerge.
-
Hopefully this is just an easily adjustable screen resolution issue. Simply right click on your desktop where there is no icon. On the menu that appears click properties and then the settings tab. You will see a slider on the right side. If you can give us the size and shape of your monitor (note the 1 and 2 screen sizes) we can tell you the recommended resolution. It would appear, though, that yours may be set too far to the left. Moving it without knowing the specific size will do no harm.

xp pro 2002 graphic and audio drivers plz help :(
BeeCeeBee replied to mamayoda's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
It is much to early to panic, mamayoda. Although it would have been better if you sought advice here before you had a problem. OK you need drivers for your sound card and graphics card is that correct? Can you give us the make and model number of your pc? Do you have a driver disc that came with the PC? If you know what sound and graphics cards you have that would be best but lets just start here.
