  1. I don't understand your question ? If your router is set to channel 1 at the moment then - if you want a different channel from the other 10+ this is done from within the router's software. There are probably 13 channels - but the standard options are 1 / 6 / 11 You can only do this by changing the routers channel. If you post the make and model number of your router we should be able to explain further.
  2. Are the top two LEDs lit ? The second one ( WiFi ) may be flashing ? Can you try connecting direct with an ethernet cable ?
  3. Hi Technically what you are doing is probably against the ISP's terms and conditions. Take a look here: click here

  6. I think this may be the routers network key. It will be on the back or underneath the router. It is usually case sensitive. Is it page 9 of the manual you are stuck at ?

  12. Hi again If you do have 1 GB RAM - Vista will run far better with more. At least 2GB. If you are looking for RAM do a scan with Crucial Scanner click here You don't need to buy from them - you can simply use the details.
  13. You are right Nev - it was bought out by Talk Talk ................with them still. So it is not a Virgin Media problem. Can now open Travelllama .............but not the other two ............strange ??? If I ping http://www.this-could-be-your-site.com I see [97.74.215.98] This IP Address is GoDaddy The ping times out.
  14. Hi Martin None of the sites will open. I have just tried to ping johnkleis.com and that timed out too. Googled johnkleis.com and clicked on that link - timed out. The problem could lie with the hosts if they are all on the same server.
  15. Hi Martin I have just clicked on the link you gave ...................and it timed out ! "The Web Page is Not Available" If I Google Travelllama I get nothing. Post a couple more links to problem sites.
  16. Thanks for the feedback Bryan :)

  19. Hi and welcome to ExTS What did you use to diagnose the hard drive problem ? How are you trying to install the O/S ? Recovery Disks / Full install disk When you say "Laptop won't allow any installation" What error message are you getting ?
  20. Hi and welcome to ExTS Can you boot up ? If so - can you click on Start > type in ...diskmgmt.msc .....ENTER Click the + next to Display Adapters What is listed ? Are there any yellow exclamation marks ? If the device is showing > right click > update drivers Do this automatically - you will need an internet connection.
  21. Hi Nev Take a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=T4Dm-2yZ9jc The smallest he does is 42 inch
  22. Hi Helcaraxe, The 56W consumption must be added to the power used by the rest of the system. So - for example - If the system uses 300 Watts without the card then it would need 356 Watts after inserting it. This is why I am tying to find out what PSU is in the system at the moment :)
  23. Hi Connected to the card do you get anything on screen at all? Switch on ....tap F8 about once per second .....at the Advanced start-up options select Enable VGA Mode ( assuming you can get this far ) After it boots up ... Start > type in ...... devmgmt.msc .....ENTER Click the + next to Display Adapters Is the card listed there ? If not - install the drivers for it.
  24. Hi The only thing I can find relating to what you have posted is Anhoch Goliath XD 630 but I can't find any details. Is this a machine built in the Eastern Bloc ? If so the Power Supply Unit may not be standard. Some machines - especially by smaller manufacturers - are not designed to be upgraded You are going to have to take the side panel off your machine and take a photo for me. You do not want to buy a new Video Card if the PSU will not run it. I have attached a pic of a standard PSU. http://www.digitalred.com/oldsite/img/support/cables/powersupplyunit.jpg
