I have been trying to install Windows Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 and I continue to get the same message. The Windows standalone installer starts up and then another window pops stating the following: Windows Update Standalone Installer Not applicable to your computer I have tried updating the installer, I used the Fixit from the windows site, I have updated and am current will all of my updates. I got a brand new Asus B400A notebook. I went through the first windows update process and everything was fine. In the morning I ran windows update again and when I logged in, all of my fonts are now in italics. I have tried restoring to default settings, I have tried changing themes, fonts, etc, nothing seems to be working. Help! (I have also seen many people with the same issue, but have never seen a good fix, why doesn't MS have a patch for this???) View this thread

The latest update from Microsoft Security Essentials classed as Important : KB2804527 (4.2.223.1) will not install. Error code: 8004FF85. I'm using Windows7(32bit). Every time I get Important Updates I seem to get these problems. Can anybody help please. View this thread

Hi, Just wondering "why" is there no Anti-rootkit tool & "boot-time scan" feature included in Microsoft’s Security Essentials program? Both are a "must" when it comes to protecting your system. Every time I try to log in to my Windows Live email account it tells me this, "This account can't be used to access Outlook.com You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. hi all! I'm hoping that someone can help me. I just don't know where to turn. I keep getting what might be error messages. One is "the instruction at 06x62bad9a6 referenced memory at 0662bad9a6. The memory could not be written. My other issue is I keep getting this all the time. It says "a script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. Do you want to abort script" Your help would be EXTREMELY appreiated as I do not have any idea how to fix it. View this thread

I updated from windows 7 and to 8 and everything looks pretty but slow. the worst part is it knocked out my internet connection. something to do with the fire wall. of course with no internet i can get the firewall to do anything. I am just so mad that windows is so difficult to work with at times. you see so many other operating systems just work. well if anyone else has these problems let me know. View this thread

Why won't the sp3 cab files install? W/o them windows update won't work along with other services. During a windows xp reinstall the log said "cab files could not be trusted"? Is there a trick to get sp 3 installed on windows xp?? I have 64 uninstalled updates with error codes since the reinstall. They all link back to not having SP3 installed. Windows updater will download all the updates but when it reboots to install the updates it always fails at 15%. I thought maybe it could have been the device drivers so i attemted to upadte them all but i still have the same problem. If SOme one could help me i would really aprreaciate it. I am also willing to post any additional information. View this thread

I upgraded my system from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro two days back. Since the time I installed it, I am facing problem with Windows Updates. I am getting an error message " "Windows could not search for new updates. There was a problem checking for updates. Error(s) found: Code 8024401C Windows update ran into a problem." Please help me with this. I am feeling that Win 8 Pro is working bad with respect to update downloading.Lot of time was wasted in this. Feeling like downgrading to Win 7 View this thread

Hey folks, I got Win 7,recently did a factory restore and now downloading a ton of updates...things are going fine except I cant seem to install KB2661254,keeps giving me error code 8024200D. I tried the update troubleshooter and the standalone installer suggested by the help menu but no luck:( I wouldn't mind except it's labeled as an "Important" update, any ideas here? View this thread
