Remove the battery for 30 mins. This doesnt look good if you cannot gain access to the BIOS settings.

The reset jumper on your mainboard this usaly consists of 4 pins and a little plastic jumper although some mainboards only have three pins. Yes the CMOS jumper. If you have four pins remove the jumper and place onto the two empty pins. Or if you have three pins then it would be on the middle pin and the empty pin. I asume you are four pins as you have a Gigabyte mainboard. Before restarting your machine please replace the jumper back onto the two origonal pins. Let me know how that goes. Jelly Bean.

Oh thankyou Wolfeymole. Thankyou zingle also. :) Can I add to this also. If you have a hidden partition which contains your recovery console for Vista I would burn this to disk as soon as you can.Unless you already have or own the Vista install disk.You may wish to use this in the future.

Hello and welcome. What make and model is your computer? This will help determin if your hardware drivers are available for XP. Yes I think your games would play on XP,Vista is the issue not XP. To install XP it is a matter of setting first boot device in BIOS to CD rom popping in the disk and following these instructions: How to partition and format a hard disk by using Windows XP Setup program To enter BIOS restart the computer and on the post screen it will say "Press ? to enter setup" ? could be F1,F2,Del or another key.Press the key it tells you to.Locate boot tab or boot order in the list and set CD rom to first boot device and hard drive to second. Please note after popping in the XP CD: You will be prompted to press any key to boot from CD/DVD then press any key,any other time you are prompted to press any key to boot from CD/DVD do NOT press any key as this starts the install process all over again. Hello and welcome to the forum. Ok I hope others input and help as well but lets see what can be done. This issue is caused when the CMOS values are incorrect. This issue can occur because of any of the below possibilities. Bad or old CMOS battery. BIOS update. Disconnecting power from computer without shutting down computer. A few things to try: Ok you can try a new CMOS battery. Try an update of the BIOS again as the BIOS update you used may of been corrupt.It happens in many downloads. Or revert back to the old BIOS. Remove BIOS battery for upto one hour and see if that helps.Although the BIOS reset jumpers maybe the way to go. Possibly you need to download a SATA hard drive driver and install it. Load defaults in BIOS,is SATA enabled in BIOS? Jelly Bean.

The issue maybe the camera and not the USB ports. Try testing it on another computer. Or reinstall the software and drivers see if that fixes the issue.

Does the external hard drive show in my computer and can to access it?

Strange. Go into device manager and are your USB listed and no yellow symbols? Have you now tried plugging in a USB device? What make and model is th laptop?

Hey Leea. In device manager right click on each USB item listed and choose uninstall and then once you have uninstalled all the items restart the machine and found new hardware should reinstall them. Try that and see how we go. Jelly Bean.

Hello and welcome Leea. Do you get any error message or do they just appear to of just stopped functioning? Lets try this. Click start scroll to my computer and open properties. Click on hardware tab then device manager. Use + to open the drop down box next to USB. Choose update driver. Do this for each USB item in the list. Or: Right click on each item and choose uninstall. Uninstall all the USB items then restart the computer. Found new hardware wizard will reinstall them. Or: Or you can download the latest chipset driver for your computer as this contains USB hardware drivers then in device manager right click on each USB item listed and choose update driver.These drivers can be downloaded from your computer manufacturers website under support tab. Yes you would loose any programs you installed or data you have saved upto the restore point. Try this: Download Remove Office 2007 1.0 - Clean uninstall of Microsoft Office 2007 - Softpedia I am not sure if you would be able to do a registry edit. You would need to make a system restore point prior to doing the folllowing: How to manually uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature I do not recommend this way if you are unsure of the registry.

Hello and welcome back. Do a system restore to before you tried to uninstall it.Then uninstall it fully. Or try this: CCleaner - Home Download and install then run. Then click tools button and under uninstall highlight Office and run the uninstaller. Let me know how that goes? Jelly Bean.
