  2. As Barry said, if you removed the password, then just leave the field blank and try to log in. It should allow you to. :) From then on, we can work on solving your initial issue. -- Goku
  3. Hello and Welcome to FPCH Aurora. :) -- Goku
  4. Also have you actually enabled the setting or not? If you haven't and don't know how, here is a short guide on how to do so. Hope that helps. :) -- Goku
  5. Hello Helenka. Have you tried using the Windows XP Mode feature in Windows 7? If yes, then what results did it yield? Though the mode is not exactly used for this method, I am unable to think of an alternate fix at the moment. Meanwhile I will try searching for other possible solutions. Good Luck. -- Goku
  6. Ah ... and just so that this comes to his attention as soon as he comes online, I will be moving this thread to the Malware Removal Forums. Till then John, you just hang in there and grab a drink! :) -- Goku

  13. Hello Twedspeed. :) Sorry for the delay in response; your thread got buried under the daily barrage. OK ... ummm ... since this problem started happening recently, can you tell us of any hardware / software changes you made in the last week? Also, have you tried reinstalling the game? If yes, then what results does it yield? If not, then please try so and see if it helps or not. Because usually, the graphics settings change to an unfavourable resolution which causes the game crash before it even runs. Reinstalling the game usually restores the settings to their defaults often fixing the problem. And don't worry about your save files. Most games store them in a different directory so there is a rare chance that they will be overwritten in any way. :) Good luck. -- Goku
  14. Hello Barney. That thread was indeed very helpful. BenTechMac really knows his stuff. :) I have read through the whole thread and I think that the problem is a compatibility issue. I want you to try two things. 1. Run Internet Explorer in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP. 2. Run Internet Explorer as Administrator. Do the second thing first and if it doesn't work, do the first thing and if it still doesn't work, try the first thing and then the second thing. Confusing, eh? :D Just kidding. Let us know how it goes. :) -- Goku
  15. Hello Barney. :) A link to the discussion would surely help. I have been trying to search that on my own but just got another popular Forum's thread by you with zero replies. Please post that in your next reply so that we can check what you have already done. Funny thing is that you might need to give me a bit more direction here lol. :D From what I understand, this "Adapt" is a web based software right? I mean you use it from a web browser to import mails into an online database? If so, can you please try using a different web browser like Mozilla Firefox or Opera (if they are supported) and see if you have any luck with it. If not so, please give a description of how actually does the software work so that I can narrow down our options accordingly. ;) By the way, for a software named "Adapt", this one is pretty rigid to adapt itself lol. Sorry, couldn't resist. :D Cheers! -- Goku
  16. Welcome to FPCH Derek. Please make yourself at home. :) -- Goku
  17. Hello and Welcome to FPCH Iceburg. Your symptoms point to a malware problem so I am moving this thread to the Malware Removal forums so that one of our experts can assist you as soon as they come online. Please wait patiently till then. Thank you for your co-operation. :) -- Goku
  18. Hello HelplessInMiami. Glad to learn that you have regained control over your computer. However, contrary to popular belief, this does not mean that you are completely rid of the infection. Most malware are designed this way so that when they are partially removed, they lull the user into a false sense of security. It would be in your best interest to start a new thread here asking for a checkup. Our malware experts should clean you up should anything be found. This is not necessarily true. The first and the major step in preventing yourself from future infections would be to exercise extreme caution when surfing the web especially while viewing videos or playing streaming content. Secondly, Malwarebytes will only alert you about an attack attempt if you have it's paid version because the free version does not contain real-time protection. But don't worry about this now. Once you get cleaned up, the experts will give you an extensive guide to protect yourself from future infestations. :) The malware seems to have messed up the hosts file, I think. The error stated above does not exactly point at that but since you have problems opening sites only in Internet Explorer, I would think that there is a high chance of it happening. Once again, please exercise with caution and try not to perform much from the infected machine as you might be giving out your login credentials unintentionally. Hope that helps. -- Goku
  19. Hello and Welcome to FPCH Barney. :) Sorry for the confusion earlier but we had to check. Of late, we have been receiving a lot of "help" requests that is actually spam in disguise. Most of these users just mass spam the forums once and then leave forever leaving us to clean up their mess. Since your post contained a link, you came across as dubious to us. But since you have been more than courteous to come back and clarify, it is apparent that you are not one of those damn bots. Once again, thanks for clarifying and sorry for the confusion. From what I read, I think that this might be a problem with Windows 7. Please try right-clicking on the program and select Run as Administrator from the context menu. Then, please try importing an email again and see if it helps or not. Let us know how it goes though. Good luck. :) -- Goku
  20. Hello and welcome to the FPCH Seedy21. :) Hope you enjoy your stay here. Looking forward to your posts. -- Goku

  22. Hello and Welcome to FPCH John. This seems to be a malware related problem. Therefore I am moving your thread into the Malware Removal forums so that noone else can interefere with the process. 23. Hello Kev. Are you looking for some sort of special offer for Outlook 2010 for university students and other academic organizations? If yes, then you might find this link useful. Sorry if you were looking for something else. If that is the case, let me know what you want and I will try to help you to the best of my abilities. :) -- Goku
  24. Hello Dinesh. This is due to a corruption in ntoskrnl.exe file that contains the boot screen for Windows XP. Try using the Last Known Good Configuration option and see if it helps or not. If not, then I am afraid that a repair install is in order. Oh, and a little piece of advice, NEVER try to change the bootscreen of Windows. There are a million risks involved and BootScreen changers don't even cover one of them. ;) -- Goku
  25. Hello Steve. Sorry, I couldn't answer it earlier. I have been away for a while. :o Please try the below steps and see if they resolve the problem or not. Open Firefox. In the address bar, type about:config and press Enter. Acknowledge the warning and click on the I'll be careful, I promise! button. A page displaying various settings of the browser should open. Right-click on an empty space on the page and select New. Click Boolean under the corresponding menu. Type network.dns.disablePrefetch under the Enter the preference name section. Click OK. A new prompt should come up asking you to input the value of the preference. Highlight true and click OK. Close Firefox. Now, please try to restart Firefox and visit a webpage. See if the problem persisits. Let us know how it goes. Good Luck. -- Goku
