  1. No, I am dealing with HTML. A friend of mine needed the code so that he could complete his HTML coding project. It is pretty basic so, the codes you mentioned have done the trick. Thanks again for all your help. I will keep you posted if there is a need for any more codes. :) -- Goku

  10. Hello and Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help Phobian. :) There is indeed a tool that claims to fix the problem. It is available here. I believe, this is the same utility you mention in your post. Can you please retry the utility again and see if it works this time or not. If not, then I am suspecting it to be Windows One Care itself and a corruption issue. Let us know as soon as possible. Good Luck. -- Goku
  11. Hello and Welcome to FPCH Barb. :) It seems that it is a remnant of one of the infections. Please read the following article to disable the file from running at startup. Stop Programs from Running at Startup Hope that helps. Good Luck. -- Goku
  12. It seems you are infected with Malware as these are symptoms known to be caused by some. Please bear with us till our Malware expert gets online and guides you through the removal procedure. After that, your computer will hopefully be fully operational again. :) -- Goku
  13. Hello and Welcome to FPCH Pat. :) Please read the following article and follow the suggested instructions. See if they help or not. Configuring and Using International Features of Windows: How To Change the language used to display menus and dialogs in MUI Let us know how it goes though. Good Luck. -- Goku
  14. Hello Ave. I don't know much about Networking so bear with me till the other experts get online. 1. The best way to see if the program is working or not, in the background, is to look it up in the taskbar. If the icon for the program is present there, it is most probably doing its job. If not, then you might need to reconfigure it. Here are some How To's from the official site that might guide you. 2. The second prompt that comes up is probably about a driver that needs to be installed in order to operate OpenVPN smoothly. It is safe to install it unless your AntiVirus or AntiSpyware identifies it as a rogue. 3. If you downloaded the program for the official site, then it is likely to be clean. Again, safely install the software unless your security programs refrain you from doing so. Hope that helps. :) -- Goku
  15. A good firewall, in my opinion, is that that doesn't let you get infected in the first place. However, I think Comodo will block the Malware from phoning because it will need external permissions at which Comodo should alert you. :) -- Goku
  16. What is the make and Model number of your PC? It might be that the BIOS password may be configured to allow on numeric inputs. -- Goku
  17. It seems that the error is caused due to lack of Administrative privileges. CaptureSetup/CapturePrivileges Try and see if it helps or not. Good Luck. By the way, I agree with Wolfey here. It seems that you know very much about Networking to use such a complex program. :) -- Goku
  18. Thats certainly worth the cause Rob! :) A few seconds of delay on your behalf is helping thousands of people on the other end which is commendable. Glad you can browse easily and quickly with CometBird now. -- Goku
  19. Yes mate, I understand this but you have to look at what has become of our signatures. They definitely draw more attention than the post itself? The previous font setting was fine too as no one reported to have any readability problems. Even a size difference of 1 could fix the "problem" very well. :) -- Goku
  20. Agreed. To see the status of a person, just look at the bottom left corner of their post. You will find the green button there that previously used to be next to a person's Username. :) By the way, it seems that the font size has been increased. Could it be diminished a little as it is a little hard on the eyes? -- Goku
  21. Glad you got it resolved Doug. Browser Toolbars are mostly useless and as evident, may cause conflicts with the operation of a browser. For your other question, I think the Toolbar is installed in Internet Explorer and Firefox only and that is why it was not installed on Opera. Thats just a guess but it explains your question satisfactorily at best. :) -- Goku
  22. Hello and Welcome to FPCH Susie. :) Please read the following articles from the Microsoft Knowledge Base and perform the recommended troubleshooting instructions. See if they help or not. Error message: "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem" Error Message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt Good Luck. :) -- Goku
  23. Internet Explorer 7 does not start or stops responding Internet Explorer stops responding, stops working, or restarts -- Goku
  24. Even though you have got a replacement, it is still good to resolve the issue. The issue is known to be caused by a corruption of a file named NTUser.dat in a User's account. To resolve this, delete the offending file in the User's account and it will be recreated. See if the problem is resolved or not. Good Luck. :) By the way, Foxit is very good indeed for opening PDF files. I use it myself to get the task done. -- Goku
  25. That is not a very efficient solution, Suzy. I still think it is a hardware conflict and Dalo might guide you most expertly here. However, if you still want to leave it that way, then suit yourself. Now, considering the problem you mention, can you please elaborate a bit more? Do you mean that the screen shuts itself off automatically when you are using the computer? It might just be the Power Options in Windows. Follow the instructions provided here and change the setting appropriately. Do you still experience the problem? If yes, then report back with more details. Hope that helps. Good Luck. :) -- Goku
