Hello, it appears that windows update KB2809289 got installed as part of automatic updates on our windows 2003 DC. Ever since then, the event viewer has errors related to crypt32 and also licensing service. I am not sure if they are related but I need to find out if i should uninstall the update or is there a different solution View this thread

something changed with my automatic update process. I have win XP pro, fully up to date. I used to see the icon, right click select custom, see what updates there were and install them when I was ready. no longer works that way. now, like yesterday for is, I see the icon, it says xx% downloaded, then the icon disappears and it's like I never got the update. Downloaded and installed from Windows IMPORTANT update INTERNET EXPLORER 10 64 bit. My PC had Windows 7 64 bit AND WINDOWS 7 32 BIT Internet Explorer 9. After "Successful" install I no longer have the Windows 7 32 bit. I nervously did a restore back to original IE 9. Possibly the new IE 10 covers both 32 bit and 63 bit. How would I know this? I looked for an uninstall, but can't find one.. Not in my 'Add Remove Prog. Found the 3 folders in printers & faxes, deleted them, but still in my system, now I can't even see the folders cause I deleted them. I thought they'd go into my Recycle, but they didn't. I have stuff to print but my printer window just sits there, it won't open. & when I went to print from Word, I got ONE NOTE slapped on the screen, but just a corner of it. Can someone help me to keep this update from failing which tried to install but had trouble installing in November. I know I need this update so any help would be appreciated. I looked at the system restore but it only goes back to February 16, 2013. I thought if I could go back to the last successful update I could see why the MS12-068 would not update. I keep getting the same two Security update for Windows Vista (KB2676562) & (KB2799494) offered as important updates, I install the updates which show as correctly installed in the update history, but then within a couple of minutes the same two updates are offered again, this happens over and over again with the same updates.
