Hello, I can often find the following problem on Windows8 which is not updated. - As soon as installing the priner driver by Add wizard or setup program(not WU), the Priner Icon don't appear in Devices and Printers on Windows8. But, I need to wait some times(maybe in between 10 and 20 min.) until the printer icon in Devices and Printers appear. Why does the problem happen ? I think Windows8 don't decide whether Windows8 show default printer icon or the printer device icon downloaded from Windows Update. Please let me know the resolution or KB to resolve this problem. I purchased and downloaded two games, but the directx components would not finish. I have Windows 7 Home Premium with Directx 11. The message I get when I download the game is " A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file is valid." When I try to play the game the message I get is " cannot find import; DLL is missing, corrupt, or wrong version File "d3dx9_42.dll", error 126." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the games, but no luck. I restarted the Cryptographic Services, again no luck. I have no problems playing any other games. I don't know what else to do. Running Windows Update never ends and logs all these events... last check for updates was 2013-01-13, but looking at update history MSE has been updating almost daily, but nothing else since "Update for Windows 7 (KB2786400)" on 2013-01-09, there are a few other updates on the 9th also, all successful. my Lenovo computer runs on window 7 (64x) and for some reason it keeps on saying the updates fail and then reverts back to before it attempted the updates? I had to do a reinstall of windows 7 ultimate the other day. The update process has been extensive.. just finish one set of updates and another pops up. My fresh install, along with my set of programs that I use all the time left me with a boot time of between 26 and 29 seconds.Now, several days later and dozens of windows updates later I'm at 59 seconds with 22 more updates to do after this last reboot.One would think that updates to a program would stream line it, not hinder it's initialization. Is there a list of processes somewhere that are really not needed to boot up the computer? I'm at the point where I'm again ready to revert to windows XP so this constant update and slow down stops.
