2 Days back I got some windows update and while shutting down my dell inspiron installed those updates and after that my laptop is not starting. It says windows failed to start but when I try to repair it that also wont work. I have tried safe mode, last known good configuration but nothing will work. Can someone help me please. Error 80070002 Ive followed help steps by stopping windows update service, deleting temp update files & restarting update service. Ive also tried installing system update readiness tool but that doesn't help either. It installed ok too. When I troubleshoot windows update problems it says problems are fixed, even code 80070002 is fixed. So I go back and check for updates again and the same error code is still there. We have two computers on our network that have, for the past two years, had problems installing updates from Microsoft. The updates (most of them .NET framework 2.0 SP2 security updates) seem to get installed when you run Microsoft Updates but then later the same updates are offered again, and again, and again. I’ve tried many suggested fixes posted on the Microsoft Support websites including running the FixIT utilities. These tell me that the problem has been fixed but they aren’t. I’ve scanned these two computers for viruses and malware and haven’t found anything out of the ordinary. I’ve even tried to “repair” the installation of .NET framework 2.0 SP2 but was unsuccessful. When trying to update Microsoft Essential i got this error Error Code 0x802400 saying that i am not connected but I am connected. The last thing I did was inserting a flash memory to my Laptop then the screen was black and white squares. I restarted my PC And updated my Microsoft essential i got an error. After installing Bit Defender Total Protection 2013, there have been frequent unexpected windows shut down. The problem is related to igdkmat32 sys file. I am told to uninstall Intel grphics Media application and after rebooting to install the native Windows graphic driver. However, after searching the Programs and Feature in control panel, I did not come across Intel Graphics Media application. How should I go about to install the native Windows graphics driver to put an end to frequent unexpected windows shut downs?. I have Windows 7 Professional on my Computer. Hello, One of the Windows Updates in February included Update for Windows 8 x64 KB2795944. Once it's installed it requires PC restart, however after restarting during the "configuration" part the 0xC000021A error and blue screen appears twice before the system tries to fix itself without success. I searched the forums and there seems to be some people with the same issue, however no solution to the problem is given (refreshing/reinstalling windows is not acceptable). I have installed Windows 8 and had to take it to Office Depot because there was a problem. They had to completely erase everything that was already on my computer to get Windows 8 working properly. Now I cannot install my accounting program on my computer. The program is QuickBooks Accountant 2010. My PC is a VAIO Duo 11 with Windows 8 pre-installed. It was fine at first then suddenly some day Windows Update don't know how to check for update automatically, but when I manually check for one I'll get them all. I've check the Windows Update log (see end of post) and what draws my attention is it report Online as No, which is wired because Windows Update just finished update Windows Defender a few seconds before, and actually it's really online at that time. However if I manually trigger the check for update procedure in Windows Update, it will report it Online as Yes again... Anyone has any idea on this? Anything related to the 0x8024a000 problem?
