I only get these error codes when I try to install software for my graphic card GeForce GT610. Does anyone else have this problem? View this thread

I'm still running Vista on one of my machines....and I love Windows Mail. Only one problem with it.....when I have a too large email coming into my email....it will receive the same smeller email over and over again.....actually freezings up in the process. What can I do to kick it back into recieving all of my emails? Right now there are 50 messages trying to download.....but this one huge one is gumming up the works. View this thread

Our company was hit with a spambot (Win32 cutwail spambot) about 3 weeks ago. Through trial and error and some great help I was able to neutralize the spambot. During the course of working to defeat the spambot I noticed a wierd ip address on some reports from our router. The IP address is 10.226.64.10 our internal network ip address is 192.168.XX.XX. I am able to ping this address and it replies but I am unable to locate it in order to get rid of it. I was told from a different forum, not on Microsoft, that it was dropped there by a hacker. This is why I need to get rid of it. I have used Wireshark to capture packets when I ping the ip address but it doesn't tell me what it attached to. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find it and rid it from our network? View this thread

Remote desktop and the accessories file disappeared with last updates. How is this fixed? With the last updates (2/19, 22, 23) remote desktop and the accessories file disappeared. I've gone through the MS site and general searches with no answers. 4 out of five of machines - 3 on W-7 and one XP home - are impacted as well as several of those at associated firms. In following your suggestions I reviewed each update / install and its purpose from 2/1 through today. Only one had an obvious tie to remote desktop - KB2592687 - but that wasn't installed on my machine until 2/25, several days after the loss of the accessories folder and specifically remote desktop (the other items in the accessories folder have also disappered such as the calculator). None of the updates had any reference to accessories. We made the 2/25 install in an effort to fix the issue but it did not fix the problem. I unistalled it today with no impact. What else do you suggest? Loss of the remote desktop severely impacts my ability to do my job. In closing - I have seen several web sites offering remote desktop downloads. So, I downloaded Samsung KIES, a truly dire and broken piece of software, to use with my new Samsung device. Now, my PC downloads two .NET updates (KB2656351 and KB2600217) every single time I start Windows, and installs them when I shut down. The installation process takes a good 20 minutes each time, which is extremely annoying. Uninstalling both KIES and the drivers for the Galaxy device hasn't solved the problem. Ok This is getting very old and quick. I have sent the info to microsoft so many times I have lost count. How the **** do we get this to quit happening. I live in Ireland and built my own computer, I bought all the parts from Holland, including Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit in German. I have been able to install Windows and get through start up. I however cannot connect to the internet so I cannot update to allow me to switch to English, and because I can’t speak German I have been unable to sort out the connection problem. When I boot the computer up in the lower right of the screen I get the message "log in for important Windows updates". I don't know where to do this. I've tried the Store tile, but that just has updates for certain apps. I've tried the HP support and that doesn't seem to help. If I actually go to the Windows Update website for Microsoft, I'm set for automatic updating, so why am I getting the message? View this thread

I'm trying to install Windows 8 Pro onto my Samsung Slate - currently running Windows 7 Pro. I need 20GB space and currently only have 10GB free out of 59GB. I have defragged, compressed, deleted some installed programs, but still not enough space free. Windows 8 booted up a bit then when it configured and upgraded the bluetooth settings all things went askew. My keyboard couldn't get connected. So eventually I had to undertake a system recovery to an earlier time. Keyboard is connected now but I am none the wiser. Is anyone able to assist?? View this thread

Lately ive been working some bugs that i have been having on my newly custom build: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Gigabyte GA-F2A75M-D3H motherboard 8 GB DDR3 RAM 250 GB Western Digital HDD Ive updated the bios and everything, and was able to do the beginning updates from my custom install. Now i have 89 updates that are waiting to be pulled down, and when i try to do the updates.......i get an error code, which is the following: Error code: 8024AFFF Windows has encountered an unknown error How can i repair this error? ive tried to download windows update fix it from microsoft and it will not let me do this at all.
