I see Microsoft has still not fixed the icon issue that has plagued Windows since Win95. I spent a good 20 minute arranging all my icons per my old Win7 machine. Changed the wallpaper and BAM!!!! Complete and utter mess! Does anyone know of a save/restore utility that actually works with Win8(x64)? I tried all the ones I could find with Google that say they work for Win7 but none of them work. Most of them do nothing at all. The one that tried to work would put all the icons back wrong. Why does Microsoft hate its customers so much that it would force this junk OS known as Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 on them?? This is the worst I've ever had to deal with in my 30 years of working with desktop/laptop/server machines loaded with Windows. I'm trying to upgrade from Office 2010 to Office Pro Plus 2013 trial which I downloaded from Technet. Apparently I get to the end of installation and then it all rolls back with the following error: MS encountered an error during setup Setup failed rolling back changes. have files on a 4gb memory card. When i plug it in to either of my computers, no files are found. However, in my digital camera it recognizes them.... i did a disk scan software download and it found the files but wants to charge me $40 to get them... How can i find them myself? Thank YOu! Ok, just got the new OS, and honestly not really digging it much. Not user friendly in my opinion and too confusing. I downloaded a program from my college school site and cannot find where it went so I can execute it. I am so used to Windows 7 and the easy to find downloads folder and just clicking on the program from there. In addition is apps the new word for downloads? It is totally throwing me off. I am on a PC not a mobile phone or tablet, so when I think of the word app I think of something designed for those devices. View the full article

I am having a hard time with this issue I need help understanding what the error is and what this may be attached to? The error comes up upon start up and then when entering any program. the fratures you are trying to use is on a cd-rom or removable disk that is not avaiable, if you click o.k. or trying to close this message it goes on to say Windows is trying to configure Tray/App insert disc and hit ok ~installation package "tray/app.msi. Purchased nww laptop with Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit and other software pre-installed. No discs were provided. I want to replace hdd with ssd. No other changes. I can create a system image on a dvd and physically swap the drives. Can I then install Win 7 using the system image I created? What about the other software (Microsoft and otherwise)?
