Lenovo K330B running Win 7 Home. Drive C: was somehow changed to G: overnight (there was one windows update that was applied automatically). All other drive letters also changed. As a result, I cannot get the computer to boot. It goes to Windows Error Recover but fails to correct the problem. I can see the drives through safe boot but cannot run anything as the boot always fails looking for C:. How can I change the primary drive back from G: to C: (and the other drives back to their correct drive letters)? View the thread

On shutdown, desktop images flash at a very high speed. A window then pops up saying I must shut down a program that is running. I hit the OK button, and another window pops up asking if I am sure I want to end the program. hit yes, and shutdown happens. It just started doing this. View the thread

Hi, I have an issue with a white rectangular box appearing in the top left corner of my laptop screen. It covers the icons behind it and renders them 'unclickable'. Nothing happens if the box itself is clicked on. It does not stay on top of other windows, just the desktop. It appears after the laptop has been to sleep and on occasions, just seems to appear randomly. I believe it may be a problem with Display Link drivers i use for a universal adapter for multiple monitors. I have asked around on display links forums but i am yet to find a solution (updated all drivers, uninstalled, re-installed, etc.), so i thought I would ask you guys if you have any ideas. any help would be appreciated. My sound has suddenly stopped working. I am running vista 64 with realtek HD audio. Device manager says all is working properly, realtek control works in that I can test the 5.1 surround sound and all speakers work from the pc. In control panel/device manager I see the bar graph going up and down with the music from a CD in the drive but no audio comes out of the speakers or from headphones plugged into the pc, the same is true playing any audio file either from the hard drive or via the internet. I've been trying everything including restore to when all was well but still no joy, it's driving me nuts can anyone suggest what I need to do to fix it please? Thanks Bob View this thread

Just received a windows 8 and while in the process of moving folders over on a flash drive from one computer to the other "some" would not transfer only to give me the following message. *location is not available (the location of my folder) refers to a location that is unavailable. it could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or your network and then try again. if it still cannot be located the information might have been moved to a different location.* I have read the other comments but there are none involving the windows 8.
