try removing the cmos battery for 15 mins.......try the motherboard out of the case,with just the cpu with fan,memory, make sure the motherboard has an on board buzzer to here any beeps.....if the ram is faulty you will not see anything on the screen, the same for the cpu...but the majority of boards will still beep an error code if one of these are damaged....so most likely is the board at fault...but try the above first. regards danzil

only change it really when it is rock hard and breakable.....usually the thermal paste is tacky or sticky too touch. unless you have a thermal pad.......artic silver is very good paste to get..as techadvance said maplin...they will have this regards danzil

when it has the no loading issue can you note if the hard drive is being found in the bios danzil

turn it on and of many times or give it a shake mmmm big NO NO you may have damaged your hard drive. check to make sure it i inserted correctly...should be screwed in really anyhow. have you tired a repair install of the operatig system what is the exact error you get....is it missing operating system then it is most likely the hard drive is at fault.is it under warrenty give as much info as possible regards danzil

do you have anti virus, is your xp fully updated. run an anti virus scan if you can using http://www.trendmicro.com do you get an error messages,check event viewer. regards danzil event viewer is located control panel>administrive tools>event viewer may attentio to the system directory

what programme was the document created in if it was word try searching for *.doc this will scan your machine for word documents excel *.xls notepad *.txt regards danzil

tech if he does indeed have a virus or some nasties.remote assitance is the best way to get infected yourself. also if this guy does not know how to open ports then how is his router gonna allow remote assitance??? thats if he has a router lets start with this what router do you have,what is your default gateway. start>control panel>network connections>local area connection,. right click it then click properties click status then find the ip of your default gateway. tyoe this into your internet explorer address bar ie 192.168.1.1 you will be prompted for a uername and password try admin and admin if you can or cannot login let me know i cannot help you from here until i know your setup..make of router modem will help regards danzil

ok, well if you REALLY want limewire thats your choice, i dont really condone helping software that helps piracy have you tried right clicking the desktop icon,then clicking propeties then click find target this will point you to the main executable,click that see if it loads then. do you have full access on that pc.. like do you have administrator rights have you tried an uninstall and re-install. i use limewire and the "mailware crapware whatever you call it" has NEVER infected me.and i check every week. do you have the latest version. regards danzil

win optimizer. remove it from add and remove. also when it says removed, delete the folder in c:\programme files. also maybe an idea to check in msconfig.start>run type in msconfig on the startup tab remove any relation to the prog,then click services, tick hide all microsoft services, remove any relation in there to. regards danzil... let me know if ou need any other help

not any psu willwork. you will need a p4 compatible psu. most power supply bought now a days are p4 compatible so it is reasonable hard to go wrong.... have you tried removing the new ram you install and powering back on. what make of ram was the old stuff and the new stuff. have you made sure there compatible..like ecc and non-ecc etc speed and all that regards danzil
