    Hi again a executable file is a a file that runs a program , also here is how to boot into safemode could you try this and see if you get the error again , if not we can try things from there , the blue word will take you to a link on how to boot into safemode

    Today Windows 8 released its major update from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 via Windows Marketplace at 12.00 I have done this myself today without much of a hitch took about 25 mins without no loss of programs

    KenB may be able to advise further but am fairly certain the reason you don't see the rest of the drive is because of the RAID set up

    Hi This refers to the office service pack , So am thinking along same lines as Ken that a office repair/re-install is needed , If needed Microsoft have a Fix-it tool for totally un-installing office . Hope this helps

    Hi Windows Vista 7 and 8 all defrag automatically when the pc is idle , but here is how to get there your self. Caution: Do not run Defrag if you are using a SSD drive. Windows XP, 2000, Vista, and 7 users Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 Defrag To run Defrag, we recommend you follow the below steps. Double-click My Computer or open Explorer. Highlight the local hard disk C: drive by clicking on it once. Right-click the highlighted local drive Click Properties Click the Tools tab and click the Defragment now button.

    It's okay I ran msupdate and rebooted re-ran speccy and alls fine , tried on other machines and all is well so maybe just a blip btw todays msupdate is rather large

    Yes it will boot to BIOS , but I seem to have nailed it for now while her recon tower arrives , I have reneabled CPU warning etc and moved the case fan wires to the cpu one this has worked to a point that it boots and works yes its hot but I've seen hotter , I must stress I talked my friends son through this over the phone and also stated in any normal circumstance I wouldn't do this I'd replace the fan

    Hello Chaps and Chapettes, This one has me flummoxed , my American friend has a old Dell DE510 series desktop and the CPU fan is dead now the pc was booting while it was dead now it's not , we have gone through BIOS and disabled cpu warning etc and still no joy a recon tower has been ordered to replace but since my friend is disabled and relies on this I wonder if you guys have any ideas ?
