  1. Greetings and welcome to the group.
  2. Then you will have to create a google account using different email account on a computer then you should be able to use that on the Android device. OR If they have a G Mail account that can be used.
  3. How was the factory reset preformed? What screens do you see? What version of Android? Or make and Model of Device? Can they log into any google accounts through the web browser on a computer?
  4. Sorry to interrupt I have a Gateway NE56R10u that came with only 3 GB DDR3 Memory and even states that on the system sticker.
  5. Let us know should you need any assistance with this.
  6. This is similar to what I use so I can extract data form HDD. https://www.amazon.com/AGPtek-Drive-Adapter-Converter-External/dp/B00BIE996S/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1ZQPNB4OX9HQD&keywords=hdd+to+usb+adapter&qid=1567009766&s=gateway&sprefix=HDD+to+%2Caps%2C190&sr=8-5
  7. Not a problem hoping that you did get it sorted out.
  8. You still have the original photos on the SD card correct? Is this Android or Apple or Windows phone? How did you transfer the files? When was the last time you scanned you computer for infections? We have a top notch team that can help with that.
  9. That is staring that it can write to CD and only read DVD. Which explains why you can not write to DVD.
  10. Maybe @KenB can I have not used a DVD writer in some time, have been using USB drives.
  11. What is the make and model of the External DVD. As you title states which would explain why you can not burn disk.
  12. @piperko we appreciate that you are helping our fellow users please note that this thread date is October 2014.
  13. Try testing with smaller links like freepchelp.uk to see if it replicates. If you are missing part of the link it can cause this issue as well. It took me a while to figure that out myself. You also might want to check and make sure that the email client is configured to block links form being clicked on. If you were to highlight the link that you sent to yourself and pasted it into the browser does it open correctly?
  14. What Operating system and Version? 32 or 64 bit? As far as matching the GB no. Using a stick that is not made or matching the other that is in the system then yes there could be issues.
  15. Outlook the software or the website?
  16. If I may jump in see if this helps narrow some if it down. I may not be able to respond much due to fire season. You stated that there is an error message when you attempt to print pictures. Have you gone into the Event Viewer to see what the error was? You may need to do a new test and then look for the time and date this way you do not have to read each one to find it. Look under Printer and Devices and make sure that your printer is the Default. I could have missed it what is the default program that is used for the picture that you are attempting to print. You may have to open one if the pictures to find out. Do you have another user on that system that you can log into and see if it experiences the same issue?
  17. Glad t hear that progress is being made. Thank you for keeping us informed. Some times I have the Vacuum sucking from one of the bottom corners as I blow the crud from the top to that section of the system. Which ever way you do do it try not to spin the fans it can knock them out of alignment.
  18. Using a vacuum there are mixed post about it. Dome say do not it creates a static discharge that may fry the system and it can also suck the jumpers that are on the motherboard off causing it to fail. Which is why I always suggest using compressed air following the instruction on the cans and in an open area. The temps look fine according to the image you supplied. To clear up some confusion yes it does run normal in safe mode and it crashes in normal mode?
  19. When was the last time the dust was cleared out? Download Speedfanand install it. Once it's installed, run the program and post here the information it shows. The information I want you to post is the stuff that is circled in the example picture I have attached. If you are running on a vista machine, please go to where you installed the program and run the program as administrator. (this is a screenshot from a vista machine) So that we have a comparison to Speedfan, download, run and grab a screenshot of HWMonitor (free). To capture and post a screenshot; Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... after typing in any response you have... click on Upload a File to add the screenshot. Screenshot instructions are provided to assist those that may read this topic but are not yet aware of the “how to”. How old is the system? Could be hardware failure HDD RAM Motherboard Power Supply What version of windows? Start the system in Safe Mode to see if this replicates. Have you tried a different user to see if the same thing happens?
  20. Was it off or asleep or in hibernation? You stated that you left it alone for a couple of hours. What was the power light doing? Did you attempt the other things I suggested? What were the results of them?
  21. Not a problem keep us informed on how it goes.
  22. Lets try if it just sits there if this happens with nothing open. Next try opening something other than a browser and see if this happens. Attempt to replicate this in safe mode with networking and see if it happens there.
  23. If you do not do open a browser does the same thing happen? Does this occur with Internet Explorer? When is says shutting down does it state anything about installing updates?
  24. Yes loving the dark theme as well. So much easier on the eyes for me.
