  1. Google saves you searches online and anything you do under your account as long as you are logged in to your google account. Yes it can be disabled. Hoping this helps. Easy to do just seems like a lot When you are logged in to your google account In the upper right corner of the Google.com page there is a 3x3 dots Click that and select Account From there select on the left side Data and Personalization Scroll down and under Activity Controls Click Web and App Activity Scroll down and Click Manage Activity On the left select Delete Activity By You can select (Today, Data Range, All) in the drop down menu. Click Delete Confirmation to delete click Delete To disable when you get the Web and App Activity There is a slider bar just to the right that will turn that off (they call it pause)
  2. Testing with new OS and Browser
  3. I apologize when I was asking about the update information I was referring to what operating system was on them when you preformed the BIOS update? It really should not make a difference as to what operating system was installed since you are using the download that creates the USB install. Have you tried a different USB drive? The one you are using may be bad. Are you downloading to the computer that you are trying to install the BIOS update on? Try downloading the file onto a different computer and transfer the file and see if that works. Other than suggesting you pose the question on the Dell forums I am out of ideas.
  4. You never did clarify this. Using the download from the link provided in Post #4. It did or did not boot to the USB drive? What Operating System was on the other two systems when you did the updates on them?
  5. Could not find specific settings for your Incredimail so I used Outlook for examples. You should be able to put the configuration information into the proper places with little effort. If your account is IMAP use these settings Setting Up Outlook (IMAP) - mail.com help If your account is POP3 use these settings Setting Up Outlook (POP3) - mail.com help
  6. Just to clarify that you did try booting to a DOS base USB drive and install? Asking myself the same question. May have to do some digging. Found this on the Dell site. Do you have Intel Virtualization Technology enabled in the BIOS? Try toggling that off before attempting the update.
  7. What software are you using to check your email Are you setting the account as POP3 or IMAP? Does the account work if accessed off the web site?
  8. Go into the BIOS and look for Reset to Factory or some variant. Since you have reinstalled Windows 7 you did reinstall the drivers starting with the Chipset then the other drives in the proper order. Did the system originally come with Windows 7. Even the Dell site shows drivers for Vista 32 and 64 bit and XP 32 bit.
  9. Sorry for the delay been trying to get station issues and training resolved. As long as things are working there is no real reason to update BIOS. Things that you can try. Have you swapped out the battery. Have you rest the BIOS to factory? Checked the date and time of the BIOS? Cleared the BIOS? Is there a BIOS password that needs to be removed?
  10. Have you tried doing the previous version?
  11. You will need to connect the router to a computer via cable to access the router. BT purchases the router form a company and puts their company labels on them. You might be able to get that information from BT. Manufacturer(s) Inventel Technicolor Gigaset Sagem Huawei Might be able to find it under the network settings. On different modem and routers it can be in different places.
  12. If you still are having issues getting this to work. Log into the router and select about and see if that will give us the make and model of the equipment. All that you should have to do is set the router to Bridge Mode.
  13. It does thank you. Can you post one with the error message too please. Also you are putting a space between the sfc and /scannow?
  14. That is not cool. It may help if you posted a screen shot of the command prompt screen.
  15. Google is phasing out Hangouts as well.
  16. You might also try pressing the Windows Key + X which should bring up the same menu in both Eight and Ten.
  17. What is the signal strength? What operating system and version? If you move closer to the source can you connect? You did this in the Modem, Router, Computer? Some of the newer modem and routers can be set to automatically change channels as needed. There could be several WiFi signals in the area that could be on that came channel and interfering with your signal. Copy and pastes the following command into an Administration Command Prompt Look for a file called NetworkResults.txt this will tell you what WiFi signals are in you area, channel and signal strength. This way you can tell which channel you should be using.
  18. Ken yes if I had my hearing aid in I would of seen that. For what ever reason it did not register.
  19. Is the same thing happening in different a browser?
  20. Please validate where they have discontinued (agree crappy browser though).
  21. If you are wanting to use that system depending on what is in it and how good the hardware is might also suggest using Linux.
  22. Hey @Bringe you will not see anything on the screen for the F11. You can also refer to the users manual online at the HP site. It may not be the F11 key that is used it may be a different key or key combination. It is like press the F8 to access Safe Mode all that you have to do is while the system is booting is tap the F11 key and it will take you through the process. No, that is the recovery partition is for another system which will include the drives for that other system and not yours. Basically it is a compressed image of the original computer setup and configuration. Have you tried defragging and cleaning out some of the space? Run a Check Disk?
  23. An unnecessary coupling between browser and operating system made compatibility too hard. As reported earlier this week, Microsoft is going to use Google's Blink rendering engine and V8 JavaScript engine in its Edge browser, largely ending development of its own EdgeHTML rendering engine and Chakra JavaScript engine. This means that Microsoft will be using code from—and making contributions to—the Chromium open source project. The company's browser will still be named Edge and should retain the current look and feel. The decision to switch was motivated primarily by compatibility problems: Web developers increasingly test their pages exclusively in Chrome, which has put Edge at a significant disadvantage. Microsoft's engineers have found that problematic pages could often be made Edge compatible with only very minor alterations, but because Web devs aren't using Edge at all, they don't even know that they need to change anything.
