  1. Cassiwilf, correct me I am wrong but it seems that you are directly trying to run the file. Can you please try saving the file and then running it. Let me know if this is not the case. I will try to search for an alternate solution. -- Goku
  2. Hello John. I have removed your email address so that you don't get spammed with hoax mails. :) Coming back to your problem, can you please upload the screenshots to a free imagehosting site such as this and then post the links here. It will help us understand your issue better. Thank you. -- Goku
  3. Hello Exploit. I have an onboard sound card too and I too experience the problem often. I don't know how to fix it yet but mostly it is caused when the contact is not right. Try opening the CPU and correct any loose contacts and see if it helps or not. -- Goku
  4. Hello and welcome to FPCH Exploit. :) Does the slider move when you try to play a song in a media player? Do other sounds work such as the Windows logon tune, logoff tune, error prompts, etc.? -- Goku

Press the Apply button and then OK. Now try starting the game and see if it helps or not. Let me know if it helps or not. Good Luck. :) Oh, and by the way, are you by any chance using an HP computer? -- Goku
  11. Hello AncientLady. I will try to find the fix for your problem but I cannot promise anything as such an issue can be caused due to a million different factors. However, if you want to ease your annoyance, you can try pressing the Tab key on your keyboard which will do the same thing as the mouse click and put the cursor in the input box. Hope that helps. :) -- Goku
  12. Wow, I never really concentrated on that. You say you get an access denied error message. Can you please tell me what the exact error message is? Also, do you get the error while you are installing other drivers / programs? -- Goku
  13. Hello and Welcome to the Forums Net_Surfer. Impressive qualifications. I was toying with the idea of applying at Bleeping Computer but don't know if I am ready yet. Anyways, enjoy your stay here. :) -- Goku
  14. You ask good questions. Let me try to answer them. That is a myth. Free programs are often as good as paid ones and sometimes even better. This is a speculation mostly promoted by resellers to bully unsuspecting customers into buying their products. As I said, it all comes down to your personal preference. :) Yes ZoneAlarm was found to be heavy on resources during our testing. Also, its detection rate, though good was not up to the par with the others listed and so it was discarded. No, we would never force our own preferences on the users. All the security suites listed were judged on the basis of their detection rates and ease of use. Another important criteria was their interference with other programs. ZoneAlarm failed miserably in this field because its Firewall created a lot of network problems. We also reviewed the past threads to see which programs did a better job than the others. :) I am not sure what's that supposed to mean. Computer specifications of a user are secondary. If a program has good detection rates, its ability will not be hampered on slow computers. Besides the usage will be the same too. Its just that slower computers will experience a lag because they have lesser resources than their higher counterparts. Hope that answers your queries. -- Goku
  15. Hello Zzang. The article you read was written sometime back as an answer to people looking for security programs to install on their computer. As you must have realized, only one section contains paid suites. The rest of the sections contain free alternatives. Also, the products listed were gone through a thorough check from the staff here and were a subject of many tests. Thus only the ones that we found the best were listed. ZoneAlarm was a contender too but it didn't make it because the general consensus was not in its favour. However, that doesn't necessarily mean it is bad. It all just comes down to personal preference in the end. Hope that answers your question. :) -- Goku
  16. Hello Mike. Please restart your computer and repeatedly tap the F8 key to get the Safe Mode Boot options. You should now have a new option there named "Disable Automatic Restart". Please select that option and your computer will restart. However, now it won't restart after the blue screen. Instead, it will freeze on it. Please note down the information on this screen especially the error code. Post back this information as soon as possible. :) -- Goku
  17. Hello Cassiwilf. I think you need to install your chipset driver too. Please download the driver from here and install it. Then, restart your computer. Please let us know if the problem persists. Good Luck. :) -- Goku

  24. Hello Cassiwilf. Can you please insert the "HP Compaq Business PC - Documentation and Diagnostics" CD and please list its contents? :) -- Goku
  25. Hello Casswilf. I might be starting this all over but do you have your driver CD with you? It must be a CD that you got at the time of purchase of the computer and will contain all the required drivers for your computer. Just read the whole thread again and thought this wasn't brought up before. :) -- Goku
