Hello King Kong. Please don't start multiple threads as it only puts off helpers and thus delays the response time. Thank you for your co-operation. :) -- Goku

Unable to connect my Ipod to my XP computer
Goku replied to URCHIN2009's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
Hello Urchin, I am afraid the Apple support might be right here. I did not consider your operating system in my search results and that is why I didn't figure it out myself. But don't give up hope yet. There still might be a way to tweak it to get the iPod recognized. I will keep searching for sometime in case I stumble upon something useful. :) -- Goku -
Unable to connect my Ipod to my XP computer
Goku replied to URCHIN2009's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
OK Urchin, I will post my traditional response to USB issues. Please follow through the procedure and see if it helps or not. :) I think this might be due to a corruption in your driver files. I would suggest that you copy the files in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers from the laptop to the affected computer. When asked to replace those files, answer yes. If that is not viable, please let me know and I will upload a copy of the driver files from my own computer. Oh, and please back up those files before going forward with those instructions. They might come in handy if something goes wrong. Hope that helps. :) -- Goku -
Unable to connect my Ipod to my XP computer
Goku replied to URCHIN2009's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
Hello Urchin. Getting an iPod to be recognized in a Windows computer can be a pain at times. Please answer the below questions for a start: Are you using the latest version of iTunes? Have you tried plugging the iPod into any other USB port? Does the iPod gets detected in any other computer? Do any other USB devices such as flash drives, mouse, keyboard, etc. experience problems? Is the USB dock used to connect the iPod to the computer fine? Have you got it tested? Did the iPod get recognized before? This will give us some information as to the cause of the problem. Please post the required information as soon as possible. :) Oh, and a request. Please do not change the font size or write in all bold text to emphasize as it makes it harder to read. Thank you for your co-operation. -- Goku -
Hello King Kong. What are your mother-in-law's computer specifications? Also, what site are you trying to play the slot machines on? I am guessing that it is probably your computer as slower computers take an age to respond to online packets. I am a living example of that. :) -- Goku

Why won't Adobe Flash Player work?

No problems Randy. I think that using different Google search engines helps me find those links easier. :) -- Goku -
2 horrible problems (media player & Office Mondo)
Goku replied to lukeflegg's topic in Tech Support & Discussions Forum
Hello Luke. Try the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. It says on the official page that it does not support Office Mondo 2010 but people have reported that it solved their problem. Please give it a try and let us know the results as soon as possible. We will then deal with the Windows Media Player issue. :) Good Luck. -- Goku -
Why won't Adobe Flash Player work?

Hello Kitten. Internet Explorer has some strange ways to screw itself. Please try the solution listed here and see if it works or not. :) -- Goku -
Stupid file sharing sites. OK, here is the link to another one. -- Goku

Here is the link to the files Dazzac. It is an archive and you will need to extract its contents. But first I would liike you to copy the folder named "drivers" located within C:\WINDOWS\system32 to a safe location. Then extract the contents of the archive to the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers folder and answer yes to replace the files if asked. After, that is done, please restart your computer. Let me know if you need more specific instructions. Sorry for the delay. :) -- Goku

Hello Dazzac. I have to rush out for a moment but I will send you the files within an hour or two. Thanks for your trust in me. :) -- Goku

If both the Windows installation are on the same partition, then the question arises whether they are both bootable or not. If they are then deleting any of the installtions might result in rendering the computer unbootable since the computer will think that the boot files are corrupt. There is only a slight possibility of this happening but still there is. If one of the Windows installed is unbootable, then you can go ahead and delete it like any other folder. When you are done, please post back here and we will proivide you with further instructions to remove the option from the boot menu. :) Feel free to ask all the questions you want. We are here to answer them. :) I am unsure of what you mean by "did a search through windows, for the files". I meant that you browse to the above location on the "good" laptop and copy the driver files from there and then replace them with the ones on the "bad" laptop. I would upload a copy of those files on my desktop but I will understand if you don't trust me. Though whatever you do, make sure you back up those existing files by copying them to a safe location. Hope that answers your questions. :) -- Goku

Hello Dazzac. I have a vague idea of what might be the cause of your issues but let me answer your other question first. If both Windows are on different partitions, then you can easily remove the unused one by deleting the unused one's folder and then editing the boot file. In theory, you can use the same if both the Windows are on the same partition but there is a bit of risk involved. Coming back to your original question, I think this might be due to a corruption in your driver files. :) -- Goku

Helllo Cyprus. Thanks, the link is indeed helpful. That works two ways Cyprus. One, they get your contacts to spam more people and second they remove them from your address book so that you cannot alert them. You see it is aimed both as a setback and a mass spamming trick. Sad, but true. -- Goku

Hello John. You need to change the keyboard layout to English (United States) from its existing state. Please use the instructions from here to do so and let us know how it goes. :) Good Luck. -- Goku

And please don't double post in different Forums Ron. Doing so will only reduce the amount of time of response from people. Thank you for your co-operation. :) -- Goku
-
Hello Rondetto. :) Do you have the appropriate drivers installed? If no, then please download and install the driver from here. I am guessing yes but I would still like you to confirm that for me. Try pressing the Fn + F5 key combination. I think that should toggle between enabling and disabling the drivers. Let us know how it goes though. Good luck. -- Goku

Glad I could help Jim. Please feel free to ask any more questions you might have. :) -- Goku

I just thought it might be another one of those Windows screw ups. Though you have a point too. :) But EASEUS is low on disk space (less than 75 MBs) and I think it is possible to free up that much amount by clearing up the temporary files and emptying the 'Recycle Bin'. Though it would be best to wait till Long comes and answers our questions. Cheers. -- Goku
-
Hello Long. Try using EASEUS Parition Manager and see if it shows the missing disk space. Also, how many disks does it show in "My Computer". If more than one, what sizes are they? Please post the required information as soon as possible. Good Luck. -- Goku

Hello Jim. We could use a bit more of information here. :) I guess you are using the RIOT plug-in for your task. If that is the case, then this was a bug in the plug-in that the developer addressed in an update. Please download the latest DLL version from here and replace it with your existing plug-in and see if it resolves the problem or not. Just for information, but if you want to see the notification regarding the error, look at the change log on the left side of the page. Let us know how it goes though. Good Luck. -- Goku

That is suicidal at th very least. Even if the conflict is not causing the problems, you are still risking yourself by using two security suites. Please uninstall one of them preferably McAfee. If their subscription is over, you would be much better uninstalling both of them as there are plenty of better alternatives. I will elaborate on that later. Meanwhile, please use one of the below uninstallers to uninstall the corresponding security suites. How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe) How To Uninstall Norton 360Please do so and let us know how it goes. The router is the one that is used to connect other computers too, right? Can you please check with those other sites under different logins and see if they work as well or not? I am suspecting that you might have been infected due to the antivirus clash. I would recommend you to hop over to the Malware Forum just to be sure. Please start a thread there and we will continue again once you have received the "all clear" from Chiaz. :) Hope that helps. -- Goku

OK, a couple of questions while I am here. Does the problem persist on all browsers i.e. Firefox and Internet Explorer? When you say it works on your mom's account, do you mean on a different connection or just under another login? Did you make any software / hardware changes before the problem first occurred? Does the error occur on only flash based sites such as YouTube, Metacafe, etc. or is it just random? What security software do you have installed, if any? Please answer the above questions as soon as possible. :) -- Goku
