I recently downloaded a Windows update which installed IE 10. Afterwards Internet Explorer continually froze and was very instable, especially when I opened additional tabs. To get over this I restored to an earlier date before the update came in and all was okay but obviously with IE back to version 9. I've tried several times again to install IE 10 but the same thing happens so I've now reverted back to IE 9. I'm using a 64 bit Fujitsu desktop which originally had Vista installed but came with a free upgrade to Windows 7 which I'm now running. The machine is just 3 years old. I've also got a Fujitsu laptop which came with Windows 7 installed and I've upgraded to IE 10 on this with no problem at all. Any suggestions? View this thread

I try to get windows 8 pro /windows 8 updates but can not acheave it as I kep getting an error mesage that reads error code 80072F76 or dt 000(1) How can I fix this problem?. Hi. I'm trying to update my Operating System (Windows 8) and while I can download the updates, it can't be installed. After the download it only says "Preparing for Installation". I tried to troubleshoot it and it showed that there was an error in one of the updates and such but then it was already fixed (Troubleshooter said so..) So I tried again and yet nothing happens. Unable to update kb2655992. I always receive message error 0x80070008 and when using the trouble shooter, troubleshooter has experienced and unexpectered error and cannot continue. At one time I received a message that I had run out of memory. Memory item means very little to me. I would just like to install the update kb2655992 and proceed. View this thread

I only have the button Update and Restart, but I want Update and Shutdown.Why? If I want to use my PC, then I dont want to wait until the computer finish the update.If I dont want to use my PC, I dont care if it spend some time updating, but after that, I dont want to return to my PC to shutdown the PC.The Win 8 developers should give more options to the users, or think better the options. I tried entering in a command line interface "run as administrator" but this is not a recognized legitimate command so I can't do any of the suggested solutions. I am signed on in the Administrator's account so I should be able to fix errors but it won't let me. View this thread

I was trying to remove programs I thought I did not use so removed "Silverlight" (did not even know what it was)....anyway, now I get the error "Security Update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB2814124)" and cannot repair it. My cursor does not move smoothly and seems to stick on active content. This is happening in IE10 and Google Chrome browsers but not on other applications like Word or Excel. win 08R2 servers (2, 1 dc the other exchange) - Used to be the servers would download updates and let you choose when to reboot. Recently this changed and now the servers reboot automatically in the middle of the day! Need workstations to reboot at 3:00 AM like normal and the servers to allow manual reboot. I see how to configure global policy for this in the registry, but how do I set this behavior to be different for servers than for workstations? View this thread

After the latest Windows 7 Professional Update - Alt+Tab does not work and Outlook email attachments will not open - I can use Menus to save and open but right click does not open context menu to "save". I have not been able to get windows update since Nov 25 of 2012, update says some components are not running but when I check services is says windows update service is started in task manager. when I tried running update from web site I get error 0xc90000247. When I am playing a game on Zynga.com and I have to step away for a few minutes there is always a little popup from Adobe seeking access to my webcam and audio. It does tell me that if I agree I may be recorded. Of course I always deny it but it happens every time when I have been away for a bit. Is this an indication of an infection or virus of some type? Just replaced operating system XP with Windows 7. The Scanner now does not scan to PDF and will only scan one page at a time. Is this normal? I also get a new icon(s) on the screen that indicates "IMPORT PICTURES and VIDEOs'. I can not delete these or close them out. What gives? View this thread
