I cannot get KB280798 to install. I tried it when it was an optional and again new it is an important update, but either way it won't load. Are there specific programs it relates to? The last time I had this problem it turned out that it was nan update for Bluetooth and it wasn't surprising it didn't load as I had no Bluetooth adapter!Any clues appreciated. View this thread

I install the same 13 office 2007 security updates, repeatedly. The history show successfully installed but notice to update shows up 10 minutes later to update again. I restart but these same 13 updates continue to show up. View this thread

I am having trouble turning my computer on at the minute, it takes around 15 minutes from the moment you press on before the start up screen where you log on (type in your password) appears. Note that it does not normally do this. I have tried running a Norton full scan and a deep embedded virus detecting software (From Norton as well) and both scan have found no virus. After searching for ages, I found that my windows update is unable to check for new updates (I am unaware how long this error has occured, but in my update history only 3 updates can be seen). I have tried changing the names (going through regedit) but nothing seems to be working. Please can someone tell me how to get my windows updates working again View this thread

When I click on "view update history", I see 4 "Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems" listed. They are listed as having been installed on 4 consecutive days. I assume all 4 were downloaded but not actually installed. So, I manually installed the latest one. After doing that, I clicked on "installed updates". And I can see that 1 "Internet Explorer 10" update had indeed been installed. But I still see all 4 updates listed in "view update history". How do I remove the 3 duplicate "Internet Explorer 10" downloads? View this thread

After windows ran an update Monday night, when I went to start my computer Tuesday I keep getting an error when I open applications, like Internet explorer. It pops up a box RunDLL and inside the box it says "There was a problem starting C:UsersDionne. The specified module could not be found" Last year sometime we had made another user on our computer for my husband Dionne, but we ended up not using it. We never did anything with it to my knowledge. I restored back to before the update. Found the User file it is referring to and deleted it to the recycle bin. Then shut the computer off and let it do the update again hoping it would correct the problem. But it has not. I'm not sure what to do. When I restored, before I shut down again, it did correct the problem, so it is something with the Windows update causing this. I have not deleted this file from the recycle bin yet. Having problems updating my Laptop. It fails every time and displays "unknown errors". I recently tried unistalling some software from my laptop (iTunes) and it told me that my laptop was running in "safe mode", and couldn't do it. I don't remember turning this on, and it's never crashed or had to boot up in safe mode. It's fairly knew (bought in October 2013). The only reason I was trying to uninstall iTunes was because it wouldn't update, so I thought that I ould uninstall and reinstall the software as a round-a-bout way of getting the latest version. I've run a full system scan that took a few hours - using Microsoft's own Security Essentials - but it didn't pick anything up. I've rebooted a few times but that hasn't worked either. Sometimne in early 2013 I did a "factory reset" on my laptop and after that it went back to SP2. Now it cannot go back to SP3 anymore because Microsoft has already stop supporting SP2. Can anyone please help me to update my WinXP-SP2 to WinXP-SP3 again? Is it possible to send me the SP3 files and give me instructions on how to install them on my WinXP-SP2 so that it will be updated to become WinXP-SP3 and can continue to receive auto-updates again.
