After failing to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 x86 (KB2789642) twice, it was successfully installed. However, Windows Update tried to install it again and failed twice. In the third try, it was successful again. Then Windows Update tried to install it for the third time. Since then, it has failed 9 times, and it is trying to install it.I tried everything Windows Help suggested, but I can't help Windows Update to install this update. View this thread

Please Help: My windows update (windows Vista Home Basic) is not working and no update is being downloaded for last many months. OK...Here is the story...I am building a new rackmount computer. I am using Windows XP home edition. I may have mistaken while updating Microsoft Windows software some days ago but do not know what was wrong with me. My computer is new, and it keeps restating down for no apparent reason. At first it would shut down when I wasn't using it, but it doesn't do that anymore. Now, at the most random times, a blue screen comes up that says there was an error, that it's gathering data, and going to restart. It also said to look up "system_service_exception", but that hasn't been helpful. When my computer is restarted it shows me what the error was and it's always the same error. Original title : Error installing MS Essentials on Windows 7 64-bit. I am unable to install MS Essentials on my HP laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Why does microsoft tell you to run windowsupdate.diagcab when it can not be run? Why are there a ton of questions but this gets ignored and other troubleshooting is suggested. Can anybody just answer why they give us a program nobody can run? google it, as there are a ton of us wondering why ms is being so stupid! View this thread

I bought a computer, but it doesn't come with any Windows Cd.The computer worked nice, but i got caught by a virus that don't let me iniciate my Pc, so i use a tool: "Toshiba Recovery Wizard"It worked nice and the virus is no longer in my computer, but there is a problem. To begin, i couldn't use the Google Chrome or any other, but i delete the chrome and installed an other chrome that works, everything fine, except the Windows Update. When i try to search for any updates it shows me code 80070490... I try lots of things but nothing works. Any help? View this thread
