Everytime I go on-line I get pop-up ads that have a logo of Mighty Magoo Advertising. I get these pop-ups even when accessing my bank, a secure site. The ad might say, "Hello Bank One customer, please fill out our free survey." If the ad is for a credit report it comes from a differnet site than if it is an ad for a movie, for example. Each ad seems to come from a different site, but each ad always shows the Mighty Magoo logo. It is pretty obvious that Might Magoo has some established way to track my internet use. I've installed some versions of the anti-tracking softwre, but to no avail. How can I get rid of this pest?tried some of the View this thread

My go pro camera wont play recorded video on my laptop. The picture freezes ,but plays sound ok. tried different software including vlc player but all the same. Laptop is a Acer1650z and otherwise works fine. Tried a software update for windows xp ,which came with laptop 6 years ago, but microsoft keep saying i am not allowed to do any updates??. I am using Windows 7 with a 32-bit operating system and I am unable to install KB2685811 (Update for Kernel-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7) and also KB2592687 (Update for Windows 7). KB2685811 has the error 800F0826 while KB2592687 has the error 8007007E. My antiviruses for now are McAfee and Microsoft Security Essentials but before I installed Microsoft Security Essentials I had the trial version of Norton. Initially I had over 10 updates but after trying to install them I received the 'Failure to configure updates, reverting changes' message. So I decided to install them one by one and have successfully installed them but the only these are the only 2 updates that are still failing to configure. I have also tried the Windows Update Troubleshooter but it does not seem to be helping. Other solutions say that you have to change your temp files from your RAM to C: but I have checked and my temp files are already in C: Thanks in advance for your responses. View this thread

on my new version of malwarebytes the icons are different. i ran a scan and it worked fine. but upon troubleshooting it says incompatable program. should i uninstall and reload? after i downloaded the new version i put the program on the list inorder to let it through windows firewall. maybe thats the prob. I have tried numerous times to install update KB2619339. I have run troubleshooter a couple of times which has 'fixed' a number of errors but hasn't cleared '8024200D' what can I try next? View this thread

I downloaded the free version of Security Essentials from the Microsoft site 1 year ago. 2 days ago, while travelling, my computer crashed and I lost everything. I have been downloading all the updates and everything is back to normal, except I now have an icon for Windows Defender. I hear this is the replacement for Microsoft Essentials in windows 8, except I only have Vista. Is this still free and is it legit. Been having a problem trying to install Critical Windows Security Update KB2758857 for a while now, every time my desktop tries to shut down it tries to install it but never succeeds, my antivirus/security software (BitDefender Total Security 2013) keeps alerting my to this but even it isn't successful in downloading/installing it. There is a problem out here that seems to have NEVER been answered. The problem is a real stinker and search here, in the forums and in the wild seem to turn up emptly. This has to do with updating various versions of Windows Vista to SP2 or Windows 8 causing untold numbers to be stuck. For me I do have anothe boot volume with a fresh install of Win7 but I still would like to have my Vista volume upgraded from SP1 to SP2 and maybe to Win7. For me it is on a faster drive and I have done some many things to this volume over the time that I have used that I could never rebuild it with a fresh install. WindowsUpdate_80004002

Over the last weeks nearly every time I turn on my desktop computer (Windows 7 64 Bit) I get a message in the Action Centre telling me that I need to turn on Windows Automatic Update. Each time I do as requested and select Automatic Update (Recommended).Then the next time I turn on my computer the same thing happens again. I am getting the same message on my laptop (Windows 7 32 Bit). Does anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this problem and how to rectify the problem? It is not a big issue just a nuisance.
