On my sidebar l had the calendar, clock, 3 different weather zones, plus news etc. but they have all disappeared. When l try to re-install any of these gadgets, all l get is a little white square for the calendar etc. or a shadow for the clock. I left my computer for 5 minutes, when I came back I had a blue screen with STOP Fatal System error c000021a initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of (0xc0000001) (0x0010037c). My computer's OS is MS XP Pro, and my Epson inkjet is connected directly to a USB port. Every other feature of my printer is working fine, as was my "Status Monitor" (showing all of my cartridge ink levels) until recently. Epson via phone and online could only tell me that there is some conflict within my system (such as with newly upgraded anti-virus software) that is causing the problem. I miss the ability to determine when I need to change a cartridge. Has anyone out there experienced this or a similar problem? View this thread

Now I know alot of people posted something about this topic but no real answers have been given.Mobo : MSI z77a-g43Sound : Realtek Latest Driver 6.0.1.6823 from 1/13/2013Similar issues with the rest of the people. 5.1 surround sound speakers but only front work rears wont work unless you Check "Speaker Fill"but even than its pretty bad, bad sound quality coming from the rear.I checked the output and inputs for the audio is OK.Windows Sound setting i configured the speakers to 5.1 Surround and tested every individual speakers/sub works.I checked for the latest drive yes i do have the latest drive.I made sure all the volume is at 100 percent under Sound Levels, even the rear gray rear black etc. everything balanced.Even messed with the enhancements and everything nothing. Now heres the catch, on Youtube all my speakers work, On certain application it goes back to basically a 2.1 speakers. With that said I unchecked the give certain application control of the device thing. Nothing changed.Checked windows update hoping they'd have something for this issue but nothing related.So is this Windows 7 or Realtek problem?. I just bought these speakers hoping for a full 5.1 surround sound with all applications, just very frustrated i spent 100 bucks on something that wont work properly. I tried to clone a Windows XP install from a DELL laptop which is nearly dead from old age into a Virtual Machine on my new Windows 8 computer. Windows 8 will not run some software I need and have used for years on the old laptop. The install seemed to work until I sign in on the virtual machine. Then a window pops up saying I have to Activate the Windows install. I tried using the activation code I got from Dell but Windows does not recognize it so I went to the phone and Windows system does not recognize the code my install presents. Is there any way I can get this install activated? I am not going to update my old software and I want to use this virtual machine to run older software that is not compatible with Windows 8. It appears Microsoft is not selling XP any longer. I do have a Windows XP disk that is not OEM from way back before SP2 came out but I want to keep all my software from the recent install without having to re-install some 20 or 30 programs. HAVE BEEN TRYING TO INSTALL SP1 FOR WIN 7. TRIED DOING CLEAN BOOT RENAMING FILES HONESTLY LOST TRACK OF ALL THE THINGS I HAVE DONE WITH NO SUCCESS. Hello, I have been enjoying this word game for a long time on my XP Home/SP3 machine with no problems. Now I have a new pc with Win7 Home Premium/64 bit to which I wish to move all my programs on the XP pc. I tried installing it but failed. These are the steps I have tried: I manually set XP/SP3 compatibility mode and tried to install - fail; I manually set XP/SP2 compatibility mode and tried to install - fail; I tried using the compatibility wizard - also fail; In each case the final result was "incompatible program". I searched the Answers site for compatibility issues and learned about the VPC/XP Compatibility Mode solution, but I cannot use it: my hardware supports it, but my OpSys does not. The game manufacturer has a new version (Ver 1.13) and I installed the trial version to see if it works - it does. The differences between the version I have and the new one are relatively minor as far as I could see, so am loathe to fork over $$$ for a program I already have. Is there a solution to my problem? I downloaded a program called (Flash Boot and EBCD Articles ) While I was trying to reinstall BOOTMRG. I cooed not get the information off the Recovery Disk's. This is what came up ( Can't open E: can't determine filesystem type - I/O Failed: input/output. Ran a Windows Password Wizard. and what came up was ( There are NO Microsoft Windows Installations On this P.C.) anther scan came up with (Here are some details way all local disk's were rejected) " a directory D:WINDOWSSYSTEM 32CONFIG does not contain required SAM, SYSTEM. SOFTWARE" . What I Need To Know ""is this telling me that my laptop is Windows 32 and not 64 GiB. and With No Windows Installed can I Buy a New Windows 7 Installation disk. can I Install it to solve my problem ? I have an Epson Workforce 500 multifunction printer, scanner, copier, fax, which has worked fine in the past, but the scanner is no longer working. I have tried several times, following all the online (and by phone with a tech from Epson) instructions on downloading and installing the updated printer and scanner drivers from Epson. However, the installation always stops, and the message that the drivers cannot be installed appears (and then the message to reboot and try again appears). I have been able to get the printer to work by reconnecting the USB cable to the printer and allowing Windows to install the ESC/P-R driver, but the scanner doesn't work, and I don't have all the other features of the printer available. When I try to get the latest driver via Printer Preferences ,I get the message that I already have the latest driver installed. Most recently, I used the Epson Troubleshooting Guide, up to the point at which it says: "Click or Start, and select Programs or All Programs. Select Epson or Epson Printers, select your printer's folder, then select Epson Printer Software Uninstall." When I do that, the program menu from the start button does not have the Epson printer listed, nor does it show the option of uninstalling the printer. In addition, when I go to the Control Panel, to Uninstall a program, the Epson printer is not listed as an installed printer. I tried one more time to install the driver package downloaded from the Epson site, and again, got the message that the drivers could not be installed. Then I used Window Update to install all available Windows 7 updates, removed the Epson printer, reconnected the USB cable, and rebooted the computer. Again, Windows installed the ESC/P-R driver, which it says is the latest available. I will give up and just not use the scanner if I can't get this resolved. View the thread

Hi, Lately I have a problem with my vista sp2. The correct time is 29 March 2013 12:23 AM. Yet if I shut down vista for an hour or more, when I reboot the PC the system time strangely changes into 11 march 12:00 PM. I reset it back to the correct time, yet if I shut it down, it will change again to another time, says 2 agusts 2013 11:00 pm, and so on. I if shut it down, and reboot it after a couple minutes, the time remains correct. MSE full scan finds nothing. I am baffled, can anyone help me?! Thanks View this thread

Das Programm USB-Fernanschluss habe ich auf beiden Rechnern installiert. Der Druckjob funktioniert nicht auch wenn ich einen Rechner ausmache. Wenn ich auf einem Rechner den USB-Fernanschluss deinstalliere, funktionier es wieder auf dem anderen Rechner. Wie bekomme ich es hin, daß ich mit beiden Rechner drucken kann????? When I do an external backup using Seagate Free Agent GoFlex the backup completes but then says: Backup encountered a problem C;UsersUpdatusUserFavorites can't find the specified file error 0x80070002. I recently bought sata dual hd usb enclosure and 250 and 500 Gb drives for it. I'm running win 7 on an older dell ide pc. about 2 years ago I bought a PC. It has been running for the last 2 years with no problems. Until today...suddenly my genuine copy has become not genuine...fine.. chatted with support and was told my copy was a MSDN copy and was to be used by developers only. But my copy on the box says OEM. It a single CD with the hologram circling it. back of the CD around the inner circle says Puerto Rico. And the box says Made in Singapore... it all looks genuine.... I'm running Vista Business on a Sony laptop. Windows update notifies important updates, including SP1, which I installed, BUT, shortly afterwards Update says updates are available and it includes SP1 again, despite it showing in Downloaded Update list. This has occurred 5 times now! My Norton Antivirus won't instal as it says the software is incompatble with the OS as it isn't running SP1?? Anyone any ideas please? Thanks. View this thread
