Sometimne in early 2013 I did a "factory reset" on my laptop and after that it went back to SP2. Now it cannot go back to SP3 anymore because Microsoft has already stop supporting SP2. Can anyone please help me to update my WinXP-SP2 to WinXP-SP3 again? Is it possible to send me the SP3 files and give me instructions on how to install them on my WinXP-SP2 so that it will be updated to become WinXP-SP3 and can continue to receive auto-updates again. Can no longer insert a picture into an email, whether in Outlook Express 6 or Outlook 2003Win XP Pro SP3 with plenty of RAM.I'm drafting a new email in OE6 or OutlookI do Insert - Picture.I get a small window that prompts me for the folder path to where my pictures are. It has a "Browse" button. When I hit the Browse button, I get the error message Message from webpage An error has occurred in this dialog. Error: 6 Object doesn't support this property or method. [OK button].If instead of hitting the Browse button I type in the folder path to My Pictures and hit OK, it puts a little white-box-with-red-X in the email.Before, when I hit Browse, it used to open the My Pictures folder, I'd select a gif, hit OK and the gif would dance around in the body of my email. No longer.Make me sad.Also, when I am within the My Pictures folder and use Send To | Mail Recipient, it adds the picture as an attachment to the email, not IN the email. No fun. The call came around 3:00 pm Central time. The first call was from a female. I thought it was a telemarketer and asked to be taken off their list and hung up. Almost immediately a male called back. The caller ID showed unavailable and showed no qriginating number. The caller said that I could get into trouble because of the hacker. They would help me get rid of the program that was on my computer. I refused the help and asked again to not be called. The person called one more time and my husband talked to them. Whar is this? I purchase through a major distributor and they no longer sell MS Office Home & Business 2010. Had to purchase 2013 version, and unable to install onto a Windows XP Pro computer?? HiRecently When ive pushed control+alt+delete task manager doesnt appear and if i right click on task bar it is grayed out and when i type taskmgr into run it comes up saying task manager has been disbled by youre admininstrator but the wierd thing is im the only user on the computer and obviously its therefore an admin account and ive never tried to diable it or alter it in any way lots of people said it was a virus but ive used a couple of virus programs and they come up with nothing please help View the thread

I am a hardcore Win XP user. Most of my computers are running XP Pro, others XP Media Edition, one has Vista. Recently I added a Dell T 110 II server to the mix. Unfortunately, I can not connect the server to the computers running XP Media Edition or Vista. Something to do with their inability to change from Workgroup(s) to Domain(s) after initial Windows install. So, I am thinking about changing operating systems. Windows 7 has an XP mode and, could run my existing software. Need to check to see if my older Dell XPS's can handle it. Any thoughts about changing OS ? View the thread

Using Windows 7. Every time the computer wakes from sleep mode, the cursor is invisible requiring me to restart the computer. I use a dual monitor set-up and when the cursor becomes invisible, it is only invisible on the primary monitor. Can see it plain as day on the secondary monitor. Would like to know how to fix this. I am upgrading from Vista to Windows 7. Everything went just fine except I unfortunately used the 32 bit installation disk. My system is a 64 bit . I have tried using the correct 64 bit DVD and restarting but never reach the 'upgrade or custom installation option'. I have tried various things to no avail. If I click on the 'setup.exe' file on the DVD I just get a message that says this program is not compatible with my current version of Windows. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how to uninstall 32 bit Windows 7 and get Windows 7 64 bit O/S installed. I even tried to format my 'C' drive but I get an error message that says it's protected and I can't reformat it. Thank you. Jerry Orlikowski View the thread

OS is windows 7. The machine would not restart due to some kind of a corruption, so while in safe mode, I backed up all my files to 6 DVDs and a brand new windows 7 re-installed. Having done this, I now want to restore all my files from the DVDs. There is an application called RecoveryMgr on the 1st DVD which I ran which copied all files from the 6 DVDs to C:System Recovery Files. I then went to Control Panel to Backup and Restore, but that's not helping me reinstate all the files to their original locations. Can anyone offer any assistance please? View the thread
