A very big doubts! I can not install microsoft NET. Framework 3.5 on my windows 7 64 bit I think it's because the laptop has Already the NET. framework 4.0 and I REALLY need to install 3.5, cause then I need to open the file CTU (cas texture Unitool) this is for my sims 3 game. a couple of days ago i noticed that my computer went from 515GB free of 582GB to 443GB free of 582GB. I didn't download or anything. then a couple of hours later i noticed that the computer had dropped to411GB free of 582GB. I still had not downloaded anything. About 6 hours later it dropped to 335GB free of 582GB and i still had not downloaded anything. I managed to get it back up to 375GB free of 582 by deleting a bunch of icone and google earth and a few other things but about 3 hours later it was at 311GB free of 582GB. Hi, I'm having issues trying to get PowerPivot to work in Excel 2013. I have a fresh install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Have downloaded Office 2013 Professional Plus 64 bit from Microsoft Volume Licence Centre and installed it, and whenever I try to click "Manage" on the Data Model it gives me the following error message. "We couldn't load the Data Model. This may be because the Data Model in this workbook is damaged." A quick Bing search seems to indicate that this can be caused by having SSAS installed but this is a fresh install machine. I literally only have 6 items installed, most of them drivers. I've searched the issue and found many threads addressing the issues caused by W7 update of March 19, 2013. I don't see much activity on this forum concerning this problem. When I start my computer I get 13 messages of missing dlls, some repeating. After I click through all of them, I my desktop appears but no browsers will run. The messages I get are for 11 different programs that will not run because they are "missing" api-ms-win-downlevel-user32-|1-1-0.dll or download instead of downlevel or ole32 instead of user32. I tried a system restore from the beginning of March. It didn't work. Now it's trying to unrestore so I can pick a different restore point. Is Microsoft ignoring issues their updates may be creating on older PCs? Mine is only three years old. It's a Toshiba Satellite. Can someone please help? View the thread

Basically I've created an MSP via the OCT with All Features installed. Created another MSP where I went into OCT and set Access as Not installed. Run this msiexec /p Access_removal.msp /qn and access is removed. Created another MSP where I went into OCT and set Access as run from my computer and it sets it as [F]. Run this msiexec /p Access_install.msp /qn and Access is reinstalled. However, the Access_Removal.msp only works once!? It will no longer remove Access - I presume because its set as [F]orced.... Hoping someone can provide me with some guidance. System Config: Lenovo Y580 Intel Core i7-3610QM Windows 7 Home Premium (Clean Install) 64 Bit 16 GB RAM Intel HD4000 Graphics + Nvidia GeForce GTX-600M I have been encountering driver failures - randomly, the Nvidia GTX660M driver will cease to function (both Nvidia drivers v314.07 and the new beta, 314.21 are susceptible). The screen turns black - and my on board Intel HD4000 GPU takes over. Windows recovers without explanation, although upon checking the Device Manager my GTX is now a lowly "Generic VGA Adapter." GPU temperature sensors read ZERO... as if the GPU has disappeared. The problem occurs under light loads, infrequently, and usually while running Chrome or performing simple file transfers (to or from a USB3 drive, for instance). A couple of times I was on the phone - doing nothing at all, with no applications running. Temperatures are monitored and I've never pushed the GPU (to my knowledge) past 70C (yet). In Device Manager, when I Right Click the Generic VGA Adapter > Properties - I see a message that says there's a problem with the device, and it won't work properly until I restart my system (Code 14). Once I restart, all is well - until the next random GeForce driver crash. I am thinking that a Windows Update for my on board Intel HD4000 Graphics Adapter (optional, installed on March 9) may bevthe cause. When I check to see what Intel driver version I am running, it would appear that the update on March 9 installed driver version 9.18.13.1421. The latest driver available for my system configuration (according to Intel's website) is version 9.17.10.2932. Both Intel and Microsoft say their respective drivers were released in December 2012. I don't recall any problems prior to installing the Microsoft-issued driver on March 9. What's up with the Intel driver that Windows Update installed? Is it a beta? And would anyone happen to know the safest way to roll back to v9.17? View the thread

I installed this update (KB2807986). After restart, I could not open AOL, Chrome, Itunes and several other programs. IE8 was OK (of course, it's Microsoft!) Tried rebooting several times with same results. Did system restore, everything back to normal. I will not re-install this update! My system is Win7 Ultimate, 64 bit. Apparently this update does not like certain other programs! View the thread

Hi, I re-installed windows XP media center edition 2002, my computer was running slow, this is not the first time I have done this, and I consider myself computer knowledgeable. When I was done with the re-install I noticed that out of the 80 gigabytes hard drive, 70 gigabytes were already used (???), but I had only installed office 2010 and Norton 360. Nothing else, not even my files back. That is a first for me. Also, I had no partition; I thought I had chosen to create an 8 gigabytes partition and 72 gigabytes for everything else. When I send BCC test email back to myself using XP and Windows Live Mail, there is an additional address that comes back outside of Undisclosed Receipents, after the semi-colin. The address that adds itself back to me is @CDS066.dcs.int.inet. I switched from Outlook Express because of this issue and wonder why it is happening? View this thread
