Hello, So the preview packages for Office 2013 in App-V are here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30423 But Office 2013 has been RTM for a while now but I can't find the RTM version of this package. Where do I obtain these binaries? I have an App-V 5 environment that I'd like to deploy the VL version NOTE: I am not talking about O365, that's retail. I need KMS/MAK licensing version. -- Justin Grote Sr. Systems Engineer En Pointe Global Services View this thread

  5. I am using Office Professional Plus 2013 to work with documents that reside in SharePoint 2010 document libraries. The content type(s) in that SharePoint site collection are set to automatically show the Document Information Panel when opened in Office applications. By opening any of these documents in their desktop app (via browser or Skydrive Pro), I am able to check-out and edit content; but the check-in step always crashes the application, giving a pop-up error: "An unknown errors has caused to stop working." By choosing to NOT automatically show the Doc Info Panel for these SharePoint documents, Office 2013 programs can handle everything just fine (editing, versioning, etc.). If I don't auto-show the Doc Info Panel, but then manually open the panel once I get inside the program, this crashes the program in the same way as before. If I save a local copy of a document and show the Doc Info Panel in any way (auto or manual), Office 2013 crashes. I couldn't find any postings on this error and I don't see this incompatibility listed in the Office 2013 known issues article and was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? 7. Looking for help on this issue on Vista Home edition 32 bit. I realize this error code is for XP, but it comes up when I try to uninstall Windows Security Essentials security software. I tried to install a recent update, and it gave me the code of 8004ff80 and would not allow me to install it, and it is causing microsoft update to not look for newer updates, apparently since the one it is recommending I install is causing this issue. All of this seems to be related because the update is for Security Essentials. Tried to contact Microsoft, but they want $99.00 to fix. Looks like to me that this is a scam from Microsoft to create revenue at the community's expense. View this thread
  8. We have a question from a customer who's purchased Windows 8 licenses without SA, and asked for a Media Kit to be sent to them. Windows 8 medias to my understanding are only available as a benefit together with SA, other customers have to download the media from VLSC and burn it themselves. We already do have digital copies of the media kits which come as a SA benefit (e.G. A100.02117.EN). Is this the same media the customer would find in their VLSC? So, if the customer would get this installation disk from us, could he install Windows 8 even though he doesn't have SA? Indu Biswakarma View the full article
  9. Hi, I have a Server 2012 and Win 8 running in my lab environment. Folder redirection is working well except for the following niggle. Even with Full Control and Owner set to the redirected folders for the logged in user I can not save exe files from IE either to the desktop or any of the redirect folders e.g. My Docs, Downloads, Music etc.... I also get prompted for UAC when deleting files from the desktop. I am certain it is a group policy but I was hoping someone could help narrow down which one! Many thanks, Tony View the full article

  14. HI, I was installing Windows 7 Ultimate to my PC, I inserted the genuine Windows 7 Ultimate DVD, I followed the instructions, Selected language, time and currency, and keyboard or input method, and then clicked Next. The installation process started, as soon as the disc started File expansion, my system restarted and prompted a message 'Boot Manager Missing.'Unfortunately, I had formatted the 'c' drive, in which my previous operating system was installed, and I have not created a system back up. I also don't have Windows Recovery Environment in order to repair my PC.Kindly suggest me, what to do now. My PC is blank. View the thread

  16. Hello, I'm running a dual boot system between Windows 7 and Windows 8. In Windows 8 Defragment and Optimize Drives neither 7 or 8 partitions are showing. One physical HD partitioned with 3 primary partitions. The very odd thing is that the System Reserved partition on the same physical HD is showing but neither Windows 7 or Windows 8 partitions. All three partitions show in Disk Management and marked as online. I can see them fine from Windows 7 in the Defragment and Optimize Drives. View the full article
  17. They supposedly "cleaned" my laptop last Thursday and said they would maintain it for one year for $169.99. They entered my PC and I watched as they ran a series of programs that I run myself for security, repairs, etc. My reason for calling for support was not addressed (receiving many Spam, Bulk, and Phishing emails in my inbox, as well as in my Junk email file. They claim to be MS-certified technicians, which I do not believe to be true now that I've seen what they do. I can't find how to reach MS about this. Thank you. View this thread

After creating a restore point in Win8, I can boot back into the same Win8 OS and the restore point is still there. When I boot to Win7 and then go back to Win8, there are no restore points at all, all gone. Why is this happening? I don't want to hear how restore point is not the best way, etc... Thanks! 22. Hi, I have recently upgraded from Office 2007 to Office 2013 and am having a problem when pasting a table of cells from Excel to PowerPoint. I have always formatted the cells in Excel and copied to PowerPoint as an enhanced metafile. With PowerPoint 2013 all of my tables which used to be sized correctly now appear one and a third times larger than before (a table which used to paste in as 12cm across now pastes in at 16cm across). Having tested across the 2 versions of Office I have found I can paste into PowerPoint 2007 fine from Excel 2007 or 2013 but the problem occurs when pasting into PowerPoint 2013 from both either version of Excel though charts still paste in the correct size. I have checked the size of the PowerPoint slides are still A4 size to match the settings I had in PowerPoint 2007. I don't want to have to go through all my old excel tables, resizing them (there are a lot), do you know a way I can paste them in as the correct size in PowerPoint 2013? Cheers View this thread

Here is what I'm doing Create pool, adds the harddrive to use. The driver is ok at this point still working. Then I create a storage space which adds a virtural space using the pooled drive, it is after this creation of pooled space the driver stops working.^^ When creating the Pool everything is working fine.
