Hello windows community, i'm still new to this community and i hope i can provide clear details about my problem here.After a long time i uninstalled both microsoft office 2003 and 2010, windows update keeps notifying me to install update (about 15 updates ) for the two products and it annoys me so much. Even after installing the update and telling me to restart in order to finish the process, it keeps on repeating the same thing everytime. This wastes the time spend on shutting down the computer due to the updates being installed. I'm currently using a microsoft office 2013. Both the software and the updates are perfectly fine. The only problem is now why does the windows update keeps on telling me to install updates for office 2003 and 2010. I tried clearing the files of those two in "C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Office" and still doesn't work. I have ccleaner to clear and repair registry files still no result. Hello, Need urgent help to understand if my Dell laptop video related hardware components are faulty. My Dell N5010 i3 screen has recently developed vertical colored lines on white background. I bought this laptop 2 year back with Windows 7 home basic installed and it was working perfectly fine. Recently in Jan 2013 I upgraded it with Windows 8 Pro through Microsoft online upgrade scheme. It worked fine with Windows 8 as well but this problem has started since last 3 weeks. Initially vertical lines were displayed as soon as I switched on the power and till windows gets loaded. After Windows loading display was getting ok on screen but now vertical lines are always there on monitor screen. I have connected my old CRT monitor with this laptop and display is fine on external monitor. Dell website has no display driver for Windows 8. I do not think it is related to any hardware issue as laptop display was proper during the setup when I reinstalled windows 8. It even worked for 1 day after reinstallation but now again vertical lines are on the screen. Please advise the possibilities. Thanks. View the full article

Portable Samsung sous windows 7. Soudainement les périphériques (scanner, imprimante et souris) raccordés via les ports USB 2 semblent avoir été déconnectés. Impossible de rétablir leur connexion avec le pc. Les ports USB 2 en question fonctionnent cependant avec les disques amovibles externes. Une procédure de "restauration du système" a été réalisée avec succès mais n'a pas permis de rétablir la connexion périphériques / PC. I'm trying to re-install Windows 7 64 bit onto my machine. I've been installing my original XP then trying to upgrade with the 7 disk(s). For some reason when I put in the 64 bit disk I get an error message saying it's incompatible, which is odd, as this machine has been been using 7 (64 bit) for about three years. When I run the adviser I'm told "no problem". I've installed 32 bit without issue. Even after that, when I put the 64 bit disk in, I still get an error message. Damaged disk? Help? I am having Window 8. I tried to import outlook express inbox messages to outlook but the computer just imported messages in sent items and delete items only. It did not import messages in the Inbox. I have tried most the fixes for this issue, and it is sad very sad. I had some hardware problems complicated by software problems and it seems like there is no upgrading from Win7 to Win8 that is worth all these problems. I'm running a 64 bit AMD Quad Core CPU with 8GB Ram and upgraded to 64Bit Win8. Talking to tech support at another firm and they weren't able to distinguish between a software and hardware problem. Moving on past that, the recommended solution was to refresh win8. That didn't go well but it did isolate a bad video card, once the card was replaced, I found out on the refresh I lost all my Outlook emails, folders, contacts. I already jumped through hoops getting PCAnywhere 12.5 working on Win8, now that is lost, my virus software keys are gone, they can be recovered, and several other software keys were lost, but they can be recovered also. Fortunately not all my documents were lost, Outlook was hit the worst. Now I try to run the internet explorer and it is like this problem won't go away, I would like to think that whatever is ailing Windows 8 could be corrected, isolated, or controlled soon. The Error Message "Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working" is not what I want to see not from Microsoft's latest and greatest, surely someone over there can take a little time and isolate the hardware or software that is causing this problem, this is not magic it is supposed to be logical. Not sure if I should ask this here...but..I have a lenovo WIndows 7 64-bit laptop. Suddenly two weeks ago, the screen went black...It was working fine until I just barely touched it to adjust the angle and the screen went off. On startup, I can very very VERY faintly see the Thinkpad logo then nothing more. Took it to repair shop, first they thought it was a backlight issue but a new OEM screen didn't fix the problem. They now say it's probably the motherboard. New MB costs as much as the computer (it's obviously OOW). It works fine with an external monitor, tho that kind of defeats the purpose of the laptop.
