When you create a new email and type in the first letter or two/three it identifies a previous recipient's email address. I am NOT referring to email addresses created/stored in contacts or other address books. This is a non-contact, non-address book type, frequently sent email. Over the years I have acquired quite a few of these and it would be a nightmare to try to find them all again when I need to send an email on the newly installed Outlook '13. Does anyone know where that file is stored that holds the history of Auto Fill in Email addresses in 2007? And yes, this time I will enter it as a new contact as I use them in '13 :) Thx! I had my new desktop PC loaded with the original/base/vanilla version of Windows 7 (so there is no anti-virus program or other anti-malware software installed). As a consequence, I need to download over 150 updates to bring the OS up to the current version. It has always been my understanding that an anti-virus program should be in place before doing any extensive online work, but when I tried to download Microsoft Security Essentials I got a "File Corrupted" message. I’m thinking the lack of updates may be causing the corruption issue, but again, I thought I needed to get an anti-virus program loaded first before running Windows Update (or doing any extensive online work). When I run SFC I get an error message on my ASUS Laptop - I cannot paste the CBS.log here - a long & complicated document. Hello, I have been using Window 8 Pro's "File History" feature for the past couple of months. However, I recently had to start over due to a Bitlocker Issue. I set everything the same as last time. Yet, when I navigate into File History's directory on the external drive (e.g., J:FileHistoryuserData....) I see that Windows is now adding a UTC timestamp on all the files, such as "familyvacation(2013_02_23 20_47_36 UTC).mov". My question is whether there is any way to remove the automatic addition of this time stamp information to the file name? I don't recall this being present on the initial FileHistory backup I initially did. Any and all help is of course greatly appreciated. All the best, Greg View the full article

I converted a VHS tape to a DVD but Windows divided it into chapters so it doesn't play correctly with a DVD player. How can I get rid of the chapter divisions? It's almost 2 hours long and only plays a few seconds at the first then skips to the last few minutes!! I can only play it on a computer by advancing from chapter to chapter!! View the thread

I have VIA OHCI IEEE 1394 on PC which has worked on my dv camcorder until I disconnected my system while decorating. On reconnecting and trying to capture another tape nothing happened. The fire wire seems to be OK and I have not changed anything. I see there was a fix for this problem on SP2 . Is there another one for SP3? I'm really new to this. I work for a car dealership and recently we bought a program that requires Windows 7 64 bit and my computer is the 32 bit version. So I got my hands on a disk to upgrade to the 64 system, I saved all my personal files on a USB and ran the disk. Everything went fine until I tried to hook up my internet connection. So now I can't get online and I assume it's because I'm missing drivers. As I said before, I'm learning this by trial and error and would greatly appreciate some guidance. Hello, My name is Agron and i have a very important question. I just upgraded my windows 7 home premium to windows 8 pro. However the installation took along time and when it restated for the final time, it then asked to to put my product key in. Which i did. Then it said choose background. I chose green. Then it just went to a black screen for 30 or more minuites. I then got frustrated and restarted it . I got up to the login screen, put my password and logged in. After it logged in its just a black screen with a cursor on the screen. Nothing else. Please help. I cant go into safe mode or advanced mpde. I dont know why. Just please help. I am having problems with installing “Security update for Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 SP2 on windows XP (KB2789643)”. The update has installed on my computer but the Automatic update icon still remains in the system tray and is prompting me to install it! I have tried removing the update and reinstalling but the problem remains the same. How do I remove the icon or cancel the update please?Also I have Microsoft .NET framework 1.1, 2 and 3 all loaded on my computer. Do I need to have all three? This is the first time I need to recover files from my file history backup. I noticed that the folders are all having the current timestamp, instead of the original timestamp.
