I re-installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer and I am trying to activate it but I get ERROR 0XC004E003 during the activation process. I do NOT have an option to call to activate there is only the online activation. This is the same Windows 7 that came pre-installed on my computer, I used the .ISO file burnt on a disc to re-install. First off, I will say I am not happy with the requirement for Live iDs just to install Office. Second, I am not happy that multiple people in Microsoft Tech Support don't know anything about how the system works, and they all have different answers to the same question about Product Key assignment to Live IDs. I am also not happy with how it is impossible or next to impossible to move a Product Key from one Live ID to another, and how virtually no one at Microsoft knows how to do this. Question: Can Multiple Perpetual Office 2013 Licenses be assigned to one Live ID? I sure hope so. I can't assign the perpetual licenses to Live IDs created using employee emails, because the next day the employee could leave the company. If I need separate Live IDs, what am I suppose to use for Live IDs? Please don't say get Open Licenses. Small businesses cannot afford to purchase big blocks of licenses at one time. They old system worked fine. They should have left well enough alone. This entire system seems geared towards consumers, not corporations. Microsoft has forgotten about its "bread and butter". In Windows XP, "Start > Run" works well and entries are saved so that they don't have to be reentered. However, after rebooting, all the entries disappear. Could anyone suggest a remedy for this? View this thread

I had before problems with my video card gtx 880 NVidia and I ran few times ago memory check by window and by memtest and there were no errors. Then I ran some program to test my video card stress and no problems I mean the pc wasn't restart. When im playing battlefield bad company 2 I hear my video card working very hard with a noise of the fan. But this bsod pc restart errors started once after I bought and changed my windows upgraded it from 7 to 8. And this pc restart and errors happen each time when im surfing the tinternet and not while playing. It happens from time to time the pc can work for a day or two then without any warnings to restart with this message error. What could be the problem ? Hardware or software ? I must say the video card did problems also before but now more then ever more and more time im getting this error and pc restart. I have several email accounts,one of which is my original yahoo account I have used for almostt 2 years.(*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) I've been experimenting to access this account with all my very important Business issues in it. The problem is this account always asks me an old security question,for which I do not have the correct answer to access. If I ask too many times,I will be locked out for 24hours. I've tried to Link my 'Facebook' Account to this particular Yahoo acccount,but my "LENOVO" Lap Top computer with Windows 7 Operating System continues to send me 'Error Message.' The question Yahoo asks is-where did I spend my Honeymoon? It's not like I don't know where my wife and I where for our Marriage Honeymoon 8 years ago-although every answer I input seems to be incorrect. My number one complaint with Windows 8 is the inability to open multiple windows of a program without right clicking and selecting open in new window. Is there a way to turn this "functionality" off? As an IT person i regularly have a need to have multiple command prompts, SCCM Remote Viewer, and Terminal Server Clients, etc open and its frustrating to have to specify open in new window. Windows 8 will not let Publisher 2010 acknowledge that publisher has a 13x19 template and custom templates will only print in tiles of 8x11. It says it searches the internet but nothing found. I have been using these templates for 2 years but now with an upgrade to windows 8 they wont work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer but that dose not work. How do you fix this? I'm trying to export my email from Outlook Express 6 (6.00.2900.5512) on Win XP. I choose File/Export/Messages and get as far as the 'This will export messages from Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange' message. When I choose 'OK' the message disappears and nothing further happens. The panel for choosing the output type does NOT appear. Is there a fix for this? The captions all over praise Windows 8 and that Microsoft has done the right thing. Curiously the contents say that the Windows 8 interface "fares poorly on larger desktop computer screens", "is clearly designed for ... having fun rather than serious work", "eliminates more than forty years of usability research", "presents far too little information ... resulting in the need to frequently pand and scroll", "well serves the needs of those nontechnical users who just want to watch Netflix, and go shopping", "does a poor job of catering to knowlege workers like me (the author)", is "a boon, maybe, for people with attention deficit disorder", "largely devoid of status information", "decreases usability", "an unnecessary inconvenience for knowledge workers", and "is a puzzle you can't quite solve". "The waste of screen real estate becomes increasing evident as the screen gets larter" and "many tasks become unnecessarily difficult". I didn't know that technical writers have to resort to such volumnous sarcasm to get published. Is there a free program i can use to correct this error? As every time it does this my computer shuts down restarts and then i have to restart it again because i loose my internet connection as well. I am running Carbonite's Mirror Image on my Windows 8 system, using an external USB-connected hard drive as the target disk. Carbonite formats the target drive before using it for mirror images. The snapshot process works fine, but it appears that after the snapshot is complete, Windows is doing something that causes the system to dismount the drive. I assume it is the new automatic disk maintenance service that comes with Windows 8. The Carbonite function was fine under Windows 7, but when I upgraded to Windows 8 this problem began. The System log details a series of events whereby a first check of Drive O/Disk 1 (the mirror image drive) is declared healthy: Event 98 ("Volume O: (DeviceHarddiskVolume16) is healthy. No action is needed."). But then a series of Event 153 Warnings show up ("The IO operation at logical block address 1887dd98 [and others] for Disk 1 was retried."), followed by an Event 140 ("The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: O:, DeviceName: DeviceHarddiskVolume13.(A device which does not exist was specified.)") Oddly, this sequence repeats, including the Event 98 that Drive O is healthy! Externally, the drive is definitely dismounted from the system as reported by the Carbonite InfoCenter. Once I unplug the USB cable and then reconnect it, the mirror image resumes. Is there any way to exclude a drive from the Ntfs maintenance? (I've already excluded it from the disk optimization process.) Additional info: I am running System Mechanic and I have been told that SM can mess up VSS performance in other apps and that even when SM is uninstalled, the problems remain until/unless the OS is refreshed/reinstalled. Have a bit of a strange issue with printers on Windows 8. our environment has domain joined clients (Windows 7, and I am testing Windows 8 before rolling out), printers are shared on a server and deployed to clients using group policy preferences. all our users are standard users, they do not have admin rights. if a user wants to remove a printer under windows 7 they simply right click on it and select remove device, this can be useful when we had dead printer connections, the connection wont come back if its removed from the GPP, however if they do accidentally remove a printer they shouldn't, this printer just gets added back when GP refreshes or they next log in - this is the behaviour we want and I believe this is how it's supposed to work. however, with windows 8 when a user wishes to remove the printer the remove device option has an administrative symbol next to it, but it does allow the printer to be removed.... sort of... when you right click on a printer normally it gives you a list of options such as "printing properties", "printing preferences", "see whats printing"... however when the device is removed its almost as if a "shadow" of the former printer still exists, but does not contain such an extensive list of options, it does however still have the remove device option with the admin symbol, but this time if the user clicks on it then it asks for administrative credentials. its almost as if windows 8 is putting the removed device in a holding state waiting for admin approval to remove it completely. even though the printer is in this state and appears in the device list, it can not be printed to, its not a proper printer as it does not have any of the printing options. why is windows 8 doing this but windows 7 doesn't, I want the behaviour windows 7 had and remove the device completely from view. even after a system restart the devices are still there, but just can't be used. over time this will equate to a very large list of stale printer icons which aren't ....actually printers....
