I am using windows 7 professional. I get message saying there is no printer installed. If I shut everything down and restart I get the BSOD, the system then does a system repair and the printer is fixed. Then when I shut down the computer and later restart, the same thing starts all overagain. BSOD system repair etcetera. Includes the above error message. View the thread

Hi, After installing Microsoft office Professional Plus 2013 preview, when I open word 2013 an activation wizard window comes. I selected "I want to activate software over internet" and pressed next. A new window comes and shows" Your installation cannot be activated because you have activated up to limit of Multiple activation key. Consult your administration for further help". I run my desktop across two monitors, and have set my options to show the taskbar on the bottom of both monitors, and to auto-hide it. I have these problems on a regular basis: 1. When I maximize an application (on either monitor) I cannot access the task bar. That is, dragging the mouse to the bottom of the screen does not bring up the taskbar. 2. Often on my second monitor, the task bar comes up behind open windows instead of in front of them (in this scenario I'm not talking about having windows maximized; this is a separate issue whereby I may have a window taking 3/4 of the screen and its bottom is maybe 20 pixels away from the bottom of the screen. I can see enough of the bottom of the screen to see that the task bar is coming up when I drag the mouse down there, but the taskbar is displayed behind my open window) Am I the only one having these troubles? I have tried using my old "Classic PhoneTools9" software on my new Windows 8 pc and the "Phone" option is not installing/displaying. The Fax and other options are there (tested the FAX and it worked). I have recently installed windows 8. I use to use cisco vpn and the remote desktop. This works fine in the desktop environment but when try and connect the cisco vpn and then try and use the metro style remote desktop it does not work. I put in the pc name and try and connect but get the message can't connect to remote pc. I think is something to do with the remote gateway server settings but in the desktop remote desktop this is set to automatically detect. Can't see an option for this in the metro style app.# Or could it be that the metro style box is sandbox and can not access the vpn? View the full article

I have not been able to download the SP3 service pack. The update system worked OK until I did the reinstall (simply using the OEM hidden partition system) but the XP SP2 is perfectly legitimate and as supplied with the Acer laptop. View this thread

Hi. We were able recently to successfully configure the Win 8 mail app to work with our Exchange 2003 Server, using ActiveSync. We are able to send and receive emails, but we can't open any attachments no matter the size or file type. When we click on the Download link for the attachment we get the following message: "One or more files couldn't be downloaded. Try again." We only have this problem with the Win 8 mail app. We also use activesync on iPhone and iPad and we've never had any problems opening the attachments. I have very strange problem with newly installed Live Mail. I use new i5 computer with Win 7 home prem. I have a very strickt order in e-mails organization. Every issue has a special folder and all e-mails about this issue are moved to correspondind folder. Folder may content from 1-2 mails up to hundreds of mails. Now, i try to open a folder and see all messages as list. After pointing on any mail inside this folder i see an exactly the same mail. One mail in every messege. Like one mail multiplied by dozens. A sender still remains an original, but a e-mail body changed to one mail from the same folder. I cannot recover any information from those folders. At the time, i copy a new messege to this folder, it's changing to the one controls the folder. I must have all this data as it very important for us. All registrations, invoices etc... Not any folder is damaged. From group of 10 folders-2 are Ok but rest is damaged Need help ASAP View the thread

I have a PC with Win 7 Home premium 64 bit with printer via USB and router via ethernet, We have a laptop running Win 8 and have difficulty setting up a Homegroup or enabling printing from laptop to printer. I have been reading some of the other similar problems in this forum but the problem is, the solutions suggested did not work for me: My COA sticker is no longer readable. My System Restore Point was turned off (I don't know why) sfc scans did not report any problem slui.exe 4 for me does not have a "call-someone" function (I think it is because I'm in some far-flung country) I scanned my computer with Security essentials and it did not detect malware or anything and lastly, I don't want to buy an activation key!
