I have recently formatted my laptop (Lenovo Ideapad Z750) after running into some problems this was a good idea until my laptop decided that it would no longer recognise that it was a 64bit system and I cannot install Win7 64bit OS which also means that I am not able to set up my graphics card can someone please help me fix this problem been banging my head against a brick wall for a few days now and need some outside help. I am constantly asked to verify my account in order to send messages to my clients. I have a 2000-person mailing list divided into 250-person queues. My messages often won't leave my outbox until I go through the verification process again. This time the message said I can't send too many emails in one day (I'm assuming they are counting all the contacts in the message as individual messages); is there any way to get around this? I too am getting this problem. Every one of my many thousands of photographs is backed up twice, despite my never having changed them. It doesn't appear to be doing this for documents, or to photographs on my wife's profile on the same computer. Short of manually deleting them, or re-formatting the external drive and starting file history again, has anyone any ideas ? View the full article

I am not sure when or why it started, I am leaning towards one of the updates. After that point, some installed programs - Atari's release of Unreal Tournament 2004 editor's edition and some games through Valve's Steam application for example - began to refuse to start properly on the first attempt. But on the second, it will. Here is a break-down of what happens. 1. I click to start a program. 2. The process shows up but the program does not. 3. I click a second time. 4. The progam's process starts a second time and the program starts fine. The strange things. 1. Quiting the first process has no effect on the result second attempt. 2. Does not occur with Microsoft made programs that I have used. ( 3. With Steam, the first-start problem ocurs less often when started from the Steam window than the shortcuts (always fails the first time via the shortcuts) 4. Steam itself does not have this issue. 5. Unreal Tournament 2004 runs better (errors are rare) on Windows 7 than it does on Vista. I have Windows 7 Home Pre - 64bit View the thread

Hello everyone, my laptop keeps freezing and showing the BSOD dpc watchdog violation error. I tried to update my hard drive firmware but it didn't help. I have also tried to open the dump files but obviously wasn't able to understand anything! I attached the latest generated dump file. I never had a chance to make factory default disks for the Gateway NV57 notebook as the employee was in a hurry to use it. It is a new laptop that was purchased about 6 months ago for an employee and after a Microsoft update it would not start. All repair and recovery options fail. I could probably contact Gateway but I do not want the Gateway version with the extra added software, just plain Windows7(64) is best for us. The Windows serial is still intact on the bottom of the laptop. View the thread
