Recently purchased Telefunken Home Theater System(THT906 - HDMI) and discovered that it has no Aux function. Only radio, disc, and bluetooth. So I decided to get the Bluetooth thing going. Got the Chronos USB Bluetooth connector and lo and behold it connects. Only problem is that it only plays stereo sound as output. I have the MSI 970A-G46 Military calss II Motherboard with 8 channel sound support via the Realtek Audio manager. I have not, for the life of me, found a way to change the settings on the Realtek Audio manager to use the Bluetooth device as the output device for sound. Can someone please suggest 3rd party software that I can use to achieve this? I am truly fed up with struggling. I have tried everything I can think of, read every post, installed and uninstalled so much software, defragged several times, restarted, powered down and up, re-installed windows, but to no avail. Please I could really use some assistance with this. I have an acer apspire m5-481pt ultrabook. It is basically stock except that I installed a 250gb samsung ssd in it. I was running windows 10 for a while but it got real unstable do to lack t of win 10 drivers. I wanted to do a clean install of windows 8.1 on the machine, but it constantly throws a blue screen error during the initial stages (prior to drive partitioning). This has happened with windows 7 and 8.1 disks, although windows 7 has a slightly different error screen. This is where it gets weird. I was able to do a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 with no issues. and by doing that, the drive would be formatted during the process. After the ubuntu install, I was able to get all the way to the partition screen in 8.1 and I deleted the ext4 linux partitions, and it would not let me install to unallocated space. When I tried to create a new partition, it said that a partition could not be installed on that drive. Now the pc has no ssd partitions and subsequently no OS. Trying to fresh install 7 or 8.1 results in the same errors as above. I know I could reinstall ubuntu with no problems but I want to get 8.1 back on it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Hi have read the comments about failed windows updates and have already tried troubleshooter, fixit and other solutions. I get advised by troubleshooter etc that issues have been resolved but when I retry I still face same issues to varying degrees from not downloading at all to failed attempts to instal. I am in the process of doing a factory reset on my lap top and wanted to Sync some of my previous data after. When syncing 'Apps - The list of apps I've installed' with Onedrive after logging in with your Microsoft account, I was just wondering what is considered an 'app'? Is it just something I bought in the app store or is it anything I previously installed/downloaded on my computer? For example, if I downloaded Diablo 3, is that considered an app or is it a separate file that I should have backed up on a USB? Hello! A month ago, I booted to Ubuntu using Unetbootin. During the installation process, it said cannot install Ubuntu in this drive, so I clicked format, and viola, everything was gone! Then, I installed Windows 7 from a CD that was lying in my drawer. In Windows 7, I downloaded a Windows 8 core image (x64) from getsoft.com, which turned out to be Windows 8 Pro (after installing it). Now, my laptop didn't come with Windows 8 PRO, so I couldn't use the method mentioned in superuser.com/questions/697253/clean-install-windows8-1-or-windows-8-from-oem-key. Therefore, (the Title). Due to problems experienced installing Lync 2013 as a standalone package on machines that already had Office Pro. 2013 installed. An error pops up 'The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000417) occured in the application at location 0x709db362. Click on OK to terminate the program'. Hi there, yet another "until you prove this is a normal behaiviour of the product, I assume this is an error": User is licensed for 365 ProPlus. Every 30 days, user is prompted to "Activate Office" while starting Outlook or Lync. Therefore my Customer demands to suppress such messages, because all glossy brochures are stating, that this happens automatically in the background. Is there anything in the microsoft software range that will run XP programs. We are a business that runs vehicle diagnostic programs (several of them) that will not run on windows 7 (or above), I know I've tried everything and had to go back to XP (After spending a fortune upgrading to new OS). New versions of these softwares is inconceivable due to the sheer cost. I read that new apps are available from the microsoft store. That's great if you are an I phone/Ipad freak but we need to run software NOT apps! But with support at an end for XP I feel very stuck with an outdated, but very stable and reliable, form of windows OS. What we, and several business' we deal with, need is something like an emulator that runs on the windows 7 onwards platforms that can be used to run XP only softwares. Anything out there? From our experience I think the new windows OS's have been aimed at home users with not enough thought to business' , where apps aren't the idea work is. PLEASE HELP View this thread

Hi there, I have a copy of Vista Business 32 bit that that I bought while in college and I wanted to install it on an older laptop I have (just something to have on the laptop to make it useable until i can buy a copy of Windows 7). I went through the installation process and when I was prompted to validate the key on the DVD I received a "The code you have entered is in use, please type a different code" or something along those lines. At this point I remembered that I used the DVD a few years back to try and fix a computer of my mom's. That computer has since passed from this world. My question is this: Is there a way to get that code de-activated or released so that I can use it on another computer. I have the original disk and the COA code for the disk. I just can't recall if it was a one time use or not and if this was a possibility. If not it is no big deal, like I said I am planning on buying a copy of 7, just not sure when, was just a shot in the dark hoping I could re-use the old code. View this thread

My name is Ben and yesterday I tried to install the latest driver of my NVIDIA 6600 and it failed. When I rebooted the screen would be black when going to the login screen but I can hear sound and the computer responds. I can boot into safe mode fine. When I go into device manager it says I have a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter. I tried to update the driver and it finds the driver but gives me the error The extended attributes are inconsistent. Hi, I recently acquired a Lenova all-in-one running Windows seven. Mouse without borders downloaded easily to it; however I can't seem to install it on my Vista 64 bit machine. The install fails telling me I need .net framework 2.0 or 4.0. I already have 4.5.2. I uninstalled that, then installed 4.0, then rebooted and it still says I need 4.0 or 2.0. It's driving me crazy. I have an old Dell 610 Notebook which has been successfully running several versions of the WIN 10 32bit Tech preview and now build 10074 along with Vista in a dual-boot mode. It meets the hardware requirements. A friend gave me the notebook and it has Vista installed and I just use it for help when I go to friend's homes to help fix their computer issues. I would like to upgrade to WIN 10 32 bit......and I would like to know when is Microsoft going to release pricing details. I have an old pc with some software disigned to run ONLY on XP ! I notice there is a lot of subfolders in Windows nemed something like "$NtUninstallMSCompPackV1$" and there is 100's of them ! There are some files and folder in the one I have looked through and I beleave they are "left overs" from updating Windows back in time. Can these folders be deleted ? View this thread

My computer somehow ended up making my D drive 60 gbs and my C drive like 6 gbs, and according to my disk management it seems like C is my active drive. I want to change it to D because whenever I install a new program it always to install stuff in C even though I specifically told it to install itself in D. What I was wondering was that if my computer would be bootable if I just copy my "WINDOWS" folder to my D drive before making it the active drive. Also, would this fix the installation problems? Hello, I have been trying to figure out how to solve this problem where every time I restart, the problem goes away. But everytime after my laptop goes to sleep mode on its own because I have not been using it, the settings or something changes. the spacebar turns into a zoom function, the "z" button doesn't work, as well as the esc, and @ symbol. Every drops down a time we access our Office 365 for Business account Outlook with OWA, a drop down appears asking to allow download of files. Three options "Allow", "Never on this machine" & "not at this time". What files does it want to download? Where will it put any files that it downloads? What are they for? Also once downloaded do they need to be kept? Can they be discarded after a session online? Upon start-up, my computer says please wait while we install updates. Then after 20 min, I get a message stating that it could not complete the updates and to wait while it undoes the changes. This lasts anywhere from 20 to 30 min, and ultimately my computer remains not up to date and will attempt the same thing next time upon start-up. Earlier to day I found that my email account had been hacked into and an identical message was sent to numerous people with whom I have had some contact with in the past. I had 7 email addresses in my Inbox, 28 others listed as 'Postmaster @ AOL.com Undeliverable......' and 8 phone calls from friends telling me they had received the same message. Consequently, I ran a full scan with Microsoft Essentials. It found ' Trojan: Win32/Bagsu!rfn' in one of my backed up files.' which it classed as being a severe threat and recommended it be removed immediately. When I clicked on the Remove button, I received a screen message:- Some of the detected threats couldn't be removed. Class not registered. Error code: 0x80040154 Can some one please tell me how I can fix the Error Code, so it allows me to remove the Trojan? View this thread
