Earlier to day I found that my email account had been hacked into and an identical message was sent to numerous people with whom I have had some contact with in the past. I had 7 email addresses in my Inbox, 28 others listed as 'Postmaster @ AOL.com Undeliverable......' and 8 phone calls from friendss telling me they had received the same message. Consequently, I ran a full scan with Microsoft Essentials It found ' Trojan: Win32/Bagsu!rfn' in of my backed up files.' which it classed as being a severe thrat and recommended it be removed immediately. When I clicked on the Remove button, I received a screen message:- Some of the detected threats couldn't be removed. Class not registered. Error code: 0x80040154 Can some one please tell me how I can fix the Error Code, so it allows me to remove the Trojan? View the thread

Today I noticed a new Windows icon in the toolbar. I was not pleased by this because it is not something I need to deal with. I checked Windows Update and saw that a marketing advertisement for Windows 10 is imploring me to reserve my copy. I do not intend to upgrade to Windows 10 because I vehemently disagree with Microsoft's push to integrate smart phones, tablets, and PCs in one smart phone GUI, which started in Windows 8. I will keep one PC running Windows 7 for music and other files, but I will move to Linux for the most part after Windows 7 is no longer supported. Find another way to market your new OS. Don't abuse Windows Update or the toolbar. Return it to the previous scheme where available updates are visible when Windows Update appears. Make Windows 10 an optional update. Eliminate the toolbar icon (yes, I know I can hide it but I want it gone from my PC). View the thread

Hi, I stupidly changed my account from Administrator to Standard and gave the Administrator rights to a second account, called ASP.NET Machine Account. This ASP.NET Machine Account seems to be hidden when I first log on. Now, every time I need to do something as Admin, I don't have permission because I do not know the password from this second account. I would like to know if there is a way to access as Administrator from a Standard account, or restore my previous settings. Or any other way I can just change this mistake. Hi everybody, I have HP probook witch have windows 7 home basic with it, I got the notification of the free update to windows 10, and I reserved my free copy but,, if my PC got slow at anytime from now.. and i wanted to reset my laptop to factory setting witch have the pre installed windows 7 home basic with its drivers and sofware.. I keep getting a notice that I have 54 Important Updates available, and 5 optional. I go ahead and hit the inatall button. It says it is downloading the updates, and them it says it is installing. After a time I get a blue screen with the message it was unable to install the updates, and was removing them, after what seems like a 1/2 hour, it finally restarts to my desktop. I must have tried updating at least 5 times, and each time the same results. The weard thing is that MS Office updates are coming through just fine. HELP is needed. View the full article

Our current on premise Exchange infrastructure is Exchange 2010 SP3. To deploy a hybrid infrastructure with Office 365 (version 15), will I need an Exchange 2013 CAS server for federated freebusy and mailbox migration? Or can I leave everything as is Exchange 2010 SP3 and proceed with a hybrid configuration. Another question, I’d like to know is that our current O365 tenancy is version 15. Hello, I bought lenovo with window 8. I use VPN connection for client with AS 400 and to get control line on AS400 I had used on my previous computer key shift+F9 that supposed to be F21. But when I connect AS400 and use shift+f9 the screen getting dark and it does not matter I use only F9 or shift+F9 screen getting dark and comes back but I can not get control line. I looked a previous forums and they state to copy a paste something into search after hitting start but I am unable to do that with my windows 8 and when I tried it said there was no searches found. I am using an Asus Computer running Windows 8 I need to show a net-cast broadcast over the internet using a projector for the Image and a separate amplifier for sound. During tests, sound and vision show well on the laptop. Plugging the sound into the amplifier works - I have sound through the external speakers (only - not on the laptop which is fine). When I attach the Projector with an HDMI cable, the image is shown on screen as well as the laptop - BUT the sound stops - no sound either on the laptop or the external speakers. Server Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 Client Side: Windows 8 The problem: I create a new user and leave the "User must change password at next logon" ticked. When I try to login with the newly created user I get an error saying "User must change password at next logon" after ptoviding the new password. At this stage if I uncheck the "User must change the password at next logon", then the user can login fine. Can anybody help me. I am running Windows 8 and every time I turn puter on I am asked to activate Windows. When I try, it tells me that Windows cannot be activated at this time please try later. I have been doing this for quite some time now but to no avail. I have tried updating to 8.1 but cannot do so and this is what it comes up with: "Your PC is running an enterprise or volume licensed version of Windows 8 and cannot be updated using the Windows Store. Contact your system administrator for mote information on how to update your PC to windows 8.1" I bought this computer in the Spring of 2013 from a reputable chain store and I have gone back there; I was told that when the message comes up, there should be a phone number for me to call to be able to activate but no such number does come up. I built a new pc, got windows 8.1 running and I was installing drivers then I decided to install razer synapse for my razer keyboard and mouse had to restart to finish installation and when the PC boots up, after the logos I just get a blank green screen and it matches the colour I chose for my Windows theme. So I did a reinstallation of Windows 8.1 and I went back to installing drivers and now and I got to my Nvidia driver wizard and next thing the wizard minimizes and the clock and cursor disappear so I pressed ctrl+alt+del and I got the same blank green screen I got the night before after booting. This is not a blue screen of death, I got get a blank green screen on boot up. I was trying things then I managed to get an error message saying 'windows didnt start correctly' and I went to troubleshoot options and tried to auto repair it failed and this was posted under it ' system32/logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt '. Hi, is there any way for an administrator to know which user has activated his/her Office365 ProPlus? Currently, I'm deploying Office365 to users using SCCM, so I can know how many user has "installed" Office 365 ProPlus but cannot know activation status. Office 365 admin protal seems not able to extract the user list who has been activated. Is there any other way using SCCM or any commands to list up activated users? Thanks!! View this thread

I’ve a desktop pc running Windows XP. I recently transferred a folder to a newly created folder. When I did so, it changed the creation date to the transfer date, rather than when the file was actually created. I’d like to go back to the original creation date.
