Al momento de realizar la evaluación de Windows me sale un error, la mayoría de las veces cuando Direct3D analiza la textura, a veces antes y a veces después. También experimiento cierres de juegos como Farcry 2 y Counter Strike: GO. Algunas veces simplemente se cierran y otras me mandan a la pantalla azul. Ya traté desinstalando Kaspersky completamente, desinstalando los drivers de Nvidia y reinstalandolos, bajando unos codecs y nada funciona. Mis especificaciones son las siguientes: Sistema operativo Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Service Pack 1.Procesador Intel Core i7 3770Tarjeta de video Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 TiMemoria RAM 4x2gb 1600 MHZTarjeta madre Sabertooth Z77Fuente de poder 550w Utilizo ASUS. ¿Alguna idea de cuál pueda ser el problema? Mi idea es la siguiente pero no se si es posible, y si lo es como aplica el licenciamiento: QUIERO INSTALAR MS OFFICE STD 2013 en el Servidor CITRIX XENAPP (aun sigo revisando como lo voy a hacer si con Streaming o no), pero primero quiero saber lo del licenciamiento. SI TENGO 35 USUARIOS, QUE SE CONECTAN AL SERVIDOR DE CITRIX (YA TENGO LICENCIAMIENTO CAL DEL SO W2K8 R2, CITRIX Y RDS). ENTONCES SOLO NECESITO INSTALAR OFFICE EN EL SERVIDOR, Y CON 1 SOLA LICENCIA: ¿LOS 35 USUARIOS (O "X" CANTIDAD) PUEDEN USAR OFFICE? I recently upgraded an XP system to Windows 7 (custom build) and after a few days I started seeing the NTFS 55 errors telling me that my file system structure was corrupt and unusable. Running chkdsk (no fix/repair) finds no errors. Running chkdsk with all repair options turned on (including looking for bad blocks) finds no errors except for an error about the MFT and free space. The system is running fine – no problems – but these errors are unnerving. All Windows 7 updates are loaded When I first did the upgrade I was getting a volsnap 25 error on every reboot, wiping out my restore points. This was fixed by creating an unfragmented pagefile. This might not be relevant except that it also involves the shadow copy area. These NTFS errors often occur when nothing in particular is going on, and often after coming out of sleep mode. Here are the System Log events immediately prior to the NTFS errors. It appears that the Volume Shadow Copy service is always starting just prior to these errors. I’ve allocated 20GB to system protection, and this space was finally filled up on 4/20. My restore points look fine. In fact, when I check my restore points I can create a sequence that results in a single NTFS event ID 55 error. It would certainly look like these NTFS errors are strongly correlated with the Shadow Copy service. Since chkdsk never finds any problems with the disk, should I assume that these NTFS errors are bogus? Would it help (or at least be interesting) if I deleted everything in the shadow copy area (System -> System protection -> Configure), rebooted and started fresh? I’m running Norton security suite. I’m also using Macrium Reflect for backups, although I’ve not seen any NTFS errors before or during backups. Thoughts or suggestions? I installed and activated WinWP x64 but could not get into Update, was advised my copy was too old and I needed to update to SP2 or SP3 and was sent links for same, both files have been downloaded and tried and both files fail with same Error Message, "updatebr.inf file is invalid"..I am a loss where to go for help on this one. I recently ran a SCAN thru McAfee to see what my problem was with my pc, Windows XP. It's running really slow, and bogs down all the time. Their scan showed a few problems; a couple I have fixed; the others I don't know what to do. I realize I have little RAM, 384,1.81GHz, my processor is AMD Sempron, and the free space on the C Drive is 137GB. The errors are:1- BROKEN STARTUP ITEMS: which may slow the startup processes; 2- NET CRAWLER: files and folders search option may need to be adjusted to optimize the search process while on line; 3- CD AUTO DETECT STATUS: the CD/DVD features are not set properly which could cause issues w/operation; and 4- DEVICE AUTO DETECT: the computer may not recognize the external drives. A few days ago I did a system recovery, hoping this would help speed up the pc, but I can't really tell a big difference. I changed from Service Pack 2 to Service Pack 3, and also downloaded the newest Java; both of which McAfee suggested. Also, should my windows firewall be up since I am using McAfee? I am unable to open Windows Update Express option, When clicking on Express, I get a message saying that "files required to use windows update are no longer registered or installed on your computer." I've tried both options following the message, with no luck at all. Belarc tells me that 125 updates from Microsoft are missing.I do have the Windows XP home edition sp2 disk. Suggestions, please. I know this has been posted before but I cannot find the right answer, I have tried every suggestion I have found. I still cannot get File Discovery and File and Print Sharing to stay on, I am using Norton firewall and I disable it still no luck. Have checked all the services that are suppose to be running and they are have tried the suggestion to try it in safe mode still nothing have done a sfc /scannow nothing. in order to perform a repair on my hp compaq presario, intel 512 MB, 32 bit pc with vista home basic sp 2, the Answer Desk has sent me 5 home basic with 2 service pack discs and Level 2 has sent 2 ultimate discs including service packs, one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit. as excessive paging and low memory are my chief complaints, my attempts to uninstall prepackaged programs or disable services and hide the unnecessary enhancements sent with updates i have probably corrupted the regristry and created dependancy conflicts. although underpowered with only 103 gb free in the C drive and 899 mb free in the D, this baby largely does what i need it to do but i need to reduce the errors.  is it possible to just upgrade to the ultimate 32 bit version? can i upgrade to ultimate 64 bit? as every gain in space i achieve is ultimately eaten up by the daily, though optional MSE updates, can i afford XXX (how many more updates)??? since sp 2? or just hide the ones with all the new features i don't need and delete those programs, or will i just be back to the same place with new ultimate headaches? is vista ultimate worth it? tried to find a video to learn more about it but could only find charts and features, most of which i won't use. thank you in advance as any feedback would be appreciated. Hi. My desktop pc (2.4GHz / Vista SP2 - 32-bit OS / 500 GB HD / 3 GB RAM) normally takes 4 - 5 mins to boot up with internet connection. In the last week or so it has been taking 25 - 30 mins to boot up when connected to the internet, but still only 4 - 5 mins if internet not connected. I have performed a clean boot and found that if all start-up items are disabled then the problem goes away, but if any 1 or more are enabled then the problem persists. I know that the obvious answer is not to connect to the internet until the pc is fully booted up, but would be interested to hear any solutions anyone might have. The red light on the front of the pc normally flashes rapidly on boot up but now is slow and intermittent. Once fully booted up the pc runs at normal speed. I have performed a full scan in MS Security Essentials but nothing found. I have also un-installed any un-needed programs and downloaded an up to date network adapter driver. I have an old acer travelmate 6292 and it is in Portuguese, so I would like to convert it to English if possible without losing the information that is on it. I figure I could clean sweep it and start again but I would lose everything on it. Is there a way just to change the language. I have tried in the language settings but can not find English. Hello again, I am having a terrible streak of bad luck!! Out of 3 PC's only one is working in limp-mode!! I took my main desktop PC/HP pavilion a610t (2.2Gz,32bit/W-Vista/6Gs ram) to the shop when it wouldn't boot-up from my recovery boot disc. Turns out my Hrdrv. was fried and I had a Seagate 1TB installed. However the shop said they needed the factory recovery discs to restore my O.S back on the new blank hardrv. but of course HP no longer carries those recovery discs and aren't saying where I can find any!!! The shop are telling me my sole option is to purchase a brand-new W/7 or maybe they might be able to find a Vista but not likely. This desktop has all new inside parts & w/be a shame to toss. I do have a complete factory restore disc set for XP that I ordered for my HP laptop. I also have a system shadow of my primary HP desktop W/7, 64bits, 2.8Gz, 8G. on a external storage device. What are my options? I don't have 200$ to buy a new W8 which is what they are pushing on everybody. But I could either sell this secondary desktop to upgrade my primary one or keep it for backup. Can I use my laptop HPzv6000, XP factory restore disc to install on my fresh hardrive? Can I use the system shadow of my W/7, 64bit, quad-core, primary HP desktop (also stored on external device) and use it in my desktop w/new hardrv. but no O.S?
