I am a student missionary who takes a lot of notes and all. I do dual boot between Win 7 and Ubuntu 12.10. I do find MS suite to be of great use and overall superior to all the other suites out their. I want to know if MS Office like 365 can work on linux? if not then what would it take for it to happened? View this thread

When I try to create a sub folder by clicking on "New Folder" nothing happens. It used to work, but suddenly stopped. I have a lot of folders and sub folders, but now I can't create any more. This is for both my hard drive and external hard drive storage. View the thread

After the last Window XP updates, I faced an internet wifi connection issue.I'm (and other people I know) are getting issue when we try to connect to wifi. One of my friend has windows 7 and got the same problem. Personally, I have two laptops (Thinkpad T43 and T60), the T43 only has been affected. I did many tests (ipconfig tests, ping, etc) and found what could be the issue. I found I was not able to conect to my router. I changed my wifi configuration to no security (no wep or wpa key). At that point I was able to connect to internet. I changed again my wifi security to a WEP key with special characters and was not able to reach my router connection. However, when I changed my WEP key to only alphanumeric characters that worked. With the WPA key I'm not able to connect to my wifi. My laptop is an old one but a friend of mine as a brand new one. I have the feeling that could be a conflict with some brands of wireless adapters. I have an intelpro 2200BG in the T43 a different one in the T60. In my tests, I used all the same configurations than my other laptop which does not have any issue. I used the same radio Channel and values. I would like to get the thoughts from an expert to fix properly the issue Thank you View this thread

When I go to save a Word Document in Word 2007, I navigate to where I want to save the document via the save as box, and the only thing that show up in that location are folders, even though I know that there are already other Word docs in that location. I am not using the generic XP My Documents location, but when I did this with Word 2003 the Word docs as well as folders would show up. I really need to see these pre-existingWord docs as I save any new ones, because they are numbered files and I need to know what number to save this latest Word doc as.. I was linked to these forum by customer service when I mentioned I could not find a way to give feedback about Microsoft's "open with" search. Currently when trying to directly open .voc format files it says "Description: Windows does not recognize this file type." leaving me clueless as how to open it on other computers besides my own (the device came with a cd I lost). I had to search google for a while before I finally found comments leading to the answer which was http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads/?sku=VR5220. RCA's own softway seems to currently be the only way to open/play this type of file. I was hoping it would get added to the "open with" search to save others the trouble. View this thread

Vista has suddenly become unusable. it is taking up to an hour to load up and then keeps freezing. I have not added any hardware or any software to the computer, this just started happening. I have run checks for the memory and used the repair utility but nothing cures the problem. It has also lost all of the restore points so I cannot use this to restore to an earlier time. Using Skype on my Windows 7 Toshiba laptop my contacts cannot hear me. My microphone settings seem to be OK. I have downloaded the latest version of Skype and I have tried it both with, and without the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer, which seemed to cause the problem. But still noone can hear me. I recently installed new internet equpment (modem & dish) to Exede. Since then I have not been able to use any browsers to do a search or even connect on certain websites. The error message comes back: with Internet Explorer it is: Error 330(net::err_content_decoding_failed):unknown error, with Firefox it is: Content Encoding Error, The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression., Chrome error message is the same and underneath it gives the Error 330 message, decoding failed: unknown error. It seems that Yahoo plays a big part in these error messages. My home page was set to yahoo but when I could not access the internet, I changed my home page to MSN which loads correctly as does Bing.com. However, when I click on Chrome, it starts loading immediately but there is an additional tab behind that tries to load yahoo.com. I searched everyplace in my computer and deleted anything that relates to yahoo, but it still seems to remain a thorn in the side. My internet provider tech support tells me my DNS is set to automatic and everything is as it should be. They cannot trouble shoot browser errors as it is a third party. It was at first thought that I needed a new router since my old one was a "g" configuration and the new system likes an "n" configuration. Bought a new router and installed it. Nothing changed. It works fine, but neither my husband nor I can do any searches online or reach certain websites we previously could. We can send and receive emails but that's it. How can I fix the compression error message so I can use the internet as it is supposed to be? Thanks in advance, V View this thread

I have the Lenovo Ideapad S206 Windows 7 32 bit and have a driver problem which I believe is due to a Windows update at sometime. I get the following statement :- "The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load drivers for this device (Code 31)" Can someone very kindly please advise me how to sort this out. Guten Morgen zusammen,seit einiger Zeit ist das Netzwerksymbol in der Taskleiste rot ausgekreuzt, obwohl eine Verbinfung besteht und das Internetauch funktioniert. Der PC ist über einen Switch an eine Fritz-Box angeschlossen. In der Netzwerkübersicht wird der Switchnicht erkannt und als Fragezeichen dargestellt. Ein Laptop, dass an dem gleichen Switch angeschlossen ist, zeigt diese Fehler nicht. Es wird sowohl das Symbolals auch der Switch richtig angezeigt. Auf beiden Rechnern ist WIN-7 installiert.Es wäre schön, wenn jemand weiterhelfen könnte....................................DANKE View the thread

I have a volume license for office 2010 and 2013. When I log into my volume license dashboard, I see the KMS key, the MAK key, and an Office Web Apps Key. When you buy office 2010 and 2013, I thought you get access to Office Web Apps as well for what ever version you have. This would be awesome if I can activate office web apps so I can access the full features of office web apps. Please enlighten me on this. ThanksT -Help? View this thread
