  1. Hello and welcome.... I am afraid to say the monitor in my opinion is on its way out..... AOC monitors are known for ghosting I myself bought a brand new one and it had ghosting from the time I switched it on.I tried everything to fix this but nope the monitor was faulty and I took it back to PC World and had my money back.... If you have tried an update of your grapics card drive and tried a reset to factory via the monitor controls then my opinion is time for a new monitor. If your monitor is not that old and is still under warantee I would return to the shop were you bought it... AOC I found is one of the worst monitors for faults.
  2. Firstly is your monitor DVI connection or VGA as this card is dual DVI.... You will need a new PSU.
  3. Hello and welcome. I would sugest as your PSU is only around 375 watts then you would need to upgrade to around a 500 watt. What is your price limit you wish to spend on a new GPU? You are running a 256 mb card at the moment you could go for a 512 mb card. You have a PCI x 16 slot for a graphics card...
  4. Hello Simon. Please could you post the hardware specifications of your computers hardware for us as this can help us rule in or out an issue.
  5. Hey Sam I have the exact same netbook. The charger and plug do get naturaly warm and not a need of concern. It does sound like the eternal power pin maybe loose and this is why it is not charging,if this is the case it will need soldering back on. However as this is a diffrent charger and not the origonal was a little loose when you first bought it? To check the power pin just use a none metalic object and lightly touch the internal power pin, does it move or is it a solid state? Have you tried removing the mains battery and only using the charger? A internal hard drive can be removed and connected externaly via USB adaptor cables and all data removed then once data has been removed delete any files you do not want anyone to see from the HDD and replace into the netbook. It either appears to be a power setting or an internal or external power issue. Can you borrow a multi charger from a friend and try it?
  6. Stop code 0x00000116 is caused by a TDR error, which is the infamous "Timeout Detection and Recovery" error that the 163-series of drivers introduced to the world. Considering the software can't find your hardware, I've no doubt whatsover that things timed out. Can you boot into Safe Mode? If so, bring up the Windows Control Panel => Programs and Features and uninstall the display driver. If not, try the repair function from the installation disk. If you can successfully boot into Safe Mode, bring up the Device Manager and check for display drivers. If there's anything there other than the Standard VGA drivers, then right-click on it and choose "Uninstall, Remove driver software". Then highlight the system name at the top of the tree to activate the "Scan for new hardware button" and use it. If it installs anything other than the VGAs remove it a final time and all will be cleared down to the VGAs. If it does not find your card, power down the system, remove the card, clean the gold tongues with a soft - not gritty! - pencil eraser and clean out the slot as best you can. Then reseat the card, making sure it's square and try again.
  7. I controlled myself that what I have got to say.. I must please do not use a thread to make a situation.... We are a pritty friendly laid back bunch here and I would like to keep it that way. Armageddon you are corrrect it is give help not pick faults on others...We are only human and we all make mistakes...Spend more time giving help that picking a fault on spelling or the inability to explain what computer issue is a problem... RandyL your old mate and I aint far behind you LOL.....Its called life .... We maybe a less busy forum and a smaller group but we have a great bunch of peeps here and I like it just the way it is... I LOVE you guys..........
  8. Ok the Barracuda to be set as a slave should have its jumper removed. Barracuda 7200.7 | Seagate Settings for your WD: Specifications for the 320 GB Caviar, Caviar SE, and Caviar SE16 EIDE drive (WD3200AABB, WD3200AAJB, WD3200AAKB) It is possible the bad hard drive is still registering as C drive from within windows.... Master IDE should be on the end of the IDE cable and Slave in the middle... Are you still connecting the dodgey hard drive?
  9. Hello David. Try firstly to load defaults in BIOS then set first boot to CD/DVD rom pop in the disk and save and exit.... Could I ask why you felt you had to reinstall? I ask this as this may help us determin what issues you are having. I can sugest booting into recovery console using the disk and run chkdsk /r this will check your hard drive for errors and rule in or out the hard drive being a cause.
  10. Have you tried the jumper settings as in your picture?
  11. Hello and welcome... Firstly what make is your mainboard as in make and model number. Did you fit the graphics card or was it preinstalled? Have you tried an update drive via Device Manager?

  14. Yes spell checker would be a good idea considering your initial welcome post said you hated such mistakes as the mistakes you just made.... Annoying Inconciderate People People who don't use correct Grammar, Punctuation, & Cannot spelling. (I know everyone isn't perfect.. Just they can atlease spell check?) Know it all people Rude & Obnoxious people Disrespectful & Immature staff & people "Cannot Spelling" is bad gramma. On this forum we DO NOT worry about bad spelling, nore about bad gramma.Considering english may not be other forum users first language.... Then I point out that many forum members do not understand how computers work or may not understand computer jargon. We take our time to understand what learners are trying to say or do... I personaly have taken offence to what you have written.I am sure other forums users will also agree with me. I have also checked up on you on other forums and what I have read is very unpleasant and that you have been banned off many forums. You have been refered to as arrogant, ignorant and also been called a total noob. I clearly see what you have written is highly intollerant towards other people..... Maybe I should of PMed my thoughts and kept them private, however I want other forum members to see that I myself will not tollerate such an arrogant posting on this forum.... Even the title of your post shows a warning to others not to mess with you. If you wrote above on a job application form as me as a perspective employer, you would never get the job and your application would be straight into the trash and you would not even get as far as an interveiw. I am watching you very close......

  22. Thankyou RandyL. It is simply a case of the same computer/laptop that needs questions and answers... Lets keep it alltogether in one thread, this helps us help you much easier and quicker and gives other forum users to learn and get some tips... Personaly I dislike having to jump back and forth to threads that are all about the same machine and confuse help and fixes given.... It also can delay help given....
  23. Please DO NOT make multiple threads on praticaly the same subject.......All of the information could of been posted and gathered into one singular thread.....
