  1. Its worth a try, this will rule in or out an issue. Let us know how it goes.
  2. Can I just add to this. Jumpers on drives maybe the cause. Is the hard drive and CD/DVD drive on the same IDE cable? If yes keep CD/DVD drives on one cable and any hard drives on another, mixing can cause issues.
  3. I see your running LOW profile 512 mb for this moment in time. Now let me give you and example of why this is happening. I run two exact same make and model 19 inch Dell wide screen monitors on my computer. Now one port is DVI and one is VGA. Even with two exact same make and model screens the VGA one is always slightly darker then the DVI one. I tried everything I could think of to alter this state. However after speaking to others and trying many diffrent things I came to the conclusion it was just the VGA port and power consumption. I agree with RandyL your power supply is pants. This maybe part of your problem, hence I say could be an issue with power consumption. My issue is not power consumption as I have a 500 watt PSU. ALL hardware degrades over time regaurdless of how well you look after your computer. I see low ended GPU and a lower ended PSU is part of your issue. Buy a GPU with twin DVI. Buy at least a 500 watt PSU. I have never known a low eneded GPU with a DVI port and a VGA port to give the exact same effect on both monitors. There is always a slight diffrence.I just over time didnt notice it anymore. However I would say there was always a diffrence on yours but it was so slight you never noticed it,now your computer has degraded over time the effect is more noticable., I also see you are using two diffrent monitors.Possible cause. I use exact same make and model and still have issues. Power consumption for the HP monitor is 60 watts on its own. What model number is your Teknika? Add to that all other components that use power, your power supply needs an upgrade and time for a new GPU. You are running a basic HP branded computer,it is a P4 with HT.Low budget computer. Anyone else see what I am seeing?
  4. As your using a 3 G dongle have you tried using someone elses computer to download the patch and transfer using a USB pen drive or disk to transfer to your computer?
  5. Sugest to him he tries a diffrent graphics card,he possibly can borrow one from a friend. Then once fitted reset the BIOS. Is he getting any beeps other than the one post beep on startup? Tell him to power off and remove ALL RAM,place in one stick and power up,does that work? Test each stick on its own. Try disconnecting optical drives such as CD/DVD rom and HDD.Power on the PC does that get a signal? Is the PC powering on and CPU fan spinning etc?
  6. Driving 2 moninitor from 2 outputs of the same video card does not usually mean the images will be identical. What I would suggest is that you change the brightness from the display's own settings.
  7. Hello there. Power outage can damage hardware. Try disconnecting all other hard drives other than the main windows 7. Have you tried last known good config? Have you tried booting into vista and running chkdsk on the win 7 hard drive?
  8. Hello there, possibly he is trying to con you and maybe the computer works. Has he tried restting the BIOS via the mainboard reset jumper? He should try resetting the RAM in its slots also. This can cause and issue with getting a signal. Maybe he has loosened a cable while fiddling around inside. Is he connecting the monitor before turning the PC on?
  9. Have you installed the software both in Windows and MAC? Have you installed the driver both in Windows and MAC?
  10. Hello there. I sugest you try another monitor on your PC and see if it works. As this may point to a GPU problem. Is your computer powering on and staying on?
  11. Hello there. I myself am not in the know on iPhones but let me see if I can at least give you some starter help. Have you run the setup on the iPhone? 13. Hey there, could you post make and model of your computer please. Have you checked incase it is just a loose fan? When did you last clean your computer internals?
  14. If you could post the make and model of your gtaphics card and the make and models of your monitors that would help.
  15. Oh thanks Nev. Just prooves a point I know nothing about newer cars, the last time I worked on a car was an old Cortina when I decarbed the head. That was many years ago. Steps out of this one sooo not my topic,LOL.
  16. I am confused? To plug a laptop into a cars computer? Do you mean SatNav? As a SatNav can be connected via a cable supplied usaly with it to a laptop or a computers USB port. Again I am confused.
  17. Hello there. Firstly could you post your computer hardware specifications please. HDD lights do normaly flicker at diffrent rates and depends on what you are doing at the time. There maybe an issue with a dead or damaged CD/DVD drive or internal connection. It also could be a jumper setting on one or more of the drives such as master or slave.Or even a cable connection if they are IDE drives.I prefer the HDD to be set on its own IDE cable and the CD/DVD drives to be set on another IDE cable, saves booting problems. Have you tried a reset of the BIOS to default? The freeze issue could be as simple as lack of RAM/Memory or you need to run CHKDSK on your hard drive. Without your system specs it is hard to judge the issue. The mouse and keyboard are they wireless,USB or normal PS/2 set? Could you give us more information on your setup please it would help us greatly.

  19. Hello there. I have tried a search and cannot find your Notebook specs. intel 82801FB/FBM Ultra ATA Storage Controllers -266FF a driver download or a hardware driver. PATA/ATA Most Laptops/Notebooks take a 2.5 HDD and not a 3.5,3.5 is for a computer. An older machine may not handle lets say a 250 gig HDD,I would possibly go upto a 160 gig HDD.However it would help if you could post the system specs here so we can judge a little better as I said I cannot find system specs online. You could post the hard drive serial number here and we could do a search and see which HDD would be suitable for you.
  20. Hey we all learn something new each day.
  21. On startup is your hard drive listed? Is your hard drive listed in BIOS. Do you get any error codes?
  22. Hello there. Are you able to boot into Safemode? Does your hard drive show on the boot screen? Does your hard drive show in BIOS? Are you sure the recovery console is installed? Or are you using a recovery disk? Did you repeatedly tap F10 key on startup?
  23. Yes possibly DSTM,however it depends on what the drives are set as now,C or D.The computer would boot from C normaly. Also depends on the computer itself.Always best to check the jumpers. We have all read and helped on peoples issues when they reformat a second drive as the main drive but it refuses to boot from it as the BIOS sees C drive as the main bootable device or first boot device.
  24. Sorry to say they are gone and cannot be undeleted.
  25. Have you set the jumpers on the hard drives to new drive master and old drive to slave?
