  5. most blue screens of death BSOD point to hardware related issues, i find 9 - 10 time the ram is at fault....try another stick of ram,,,,and try different slots...... when exactly do you get the bsod,is it when it try to access the hard drive,some more info mwould be great. regards danzil
  6. seems you are sharing 64 mb on board ram,,,,this can be easily changed in the bios....look where it says shared memory or shared aperature size...what make of bios do you have. regards danzil
  7. cetainly sounds like the power supply to me,,,,,is this a pentium board.....have you made sure the black/yellow four pin connector is connected to the board. regards danzil
  8. at first power on.(post) do you receive any bios beeps at all. i would try changing memory i noticed you have to 512mb in there try just one on its own,and different slots etc..... may also want to check the thermal paste under your cpu heatsink and fan,,,make sure it is not dry etc... post back if none of the above help regards danzil

  10. have you tried it in different usb ports...may be a good idea to try it in anopther computer.... the usb drive may reqiure slightly more power to initalise properly, try it in a PC using the onboard usb ports..... give them a try then post back.. regards danzil.... i will check back on this post asap

  12. hi ya there mate,can you obtain a usb mouse from somewhere,,,maybe a friend,or a shop...no more then a fiver £5 birtish money......give that a try....it may be your ps/2 slot but i would like to be able to rule that out with the usb mouse......... see the thing is rollerball mice, have a tendancy to break qiute easily..the ball runs along 4 spinldes that have a round pice of plastic on them,,,,the round piece of plastice controls the axis obviously up down left n right,,,these can become kapupt quite easily. try usb then let me know.... could be hardware issue yet, regards danzil
  13. hi there trickdick we are gonna need some more info here. is the mouse usb,or ps/2... is the mouse optical or rollerball...... ok if it is usb can you make sure usb mouse n keyboard support is on in the bios.... also try another usb connection.. if it is ps/2 then mmmmmmmm...try to make sure no pins are bent on the mouse,,,,,dissconnect it then reconnect it and try again... post back if the above doesnt help/ regards danzil ps,,,,,to get into the bios is usuallt the "delete key" or "f2",,,during the first stages of pc boot up ....post (power on self test)if it is ps/s try usb.vice versa
  14. no not at all. do not worry......i dont know many people that dont have limewire........if you are that worried move the songs from the shared folder to my music,,,then remove limewrie...then re-install it when you get the pc back..... they will not say a word..i bet they see a lot worse...but please beware limewire has a lot of viruses and mailware etc on it,,,,like good old kazaa. regards danzil and for the record,,,if you own the original you can download that version as many times as you like,,,as long as you dont share them with friends....(unless they own them too). all should be ok

  16. 0xc0000005 point to a multitude of things...usually damaged ram,,,,mailware especilly pre service packs 2,and/or a poorly wriiten windows update or device driver. if you have more then one stick of ram try one connected at a time,and try different slots....if that still screws up,,,then update ALL driver DO NOT forget CHIPSET drivers..... do you have a nviadia card..... what was you doing before all this happened..... any hardware changes. regards danzil
  17. you should be fine to delete those files.......DO NOT FORMAT THE DRIVE......make sure show hidden files/folders is NOT active and neither is show hidden operating system files....that way you can not see important files and thus cannot delete them...... obviously if you need the files move them to another drive or burn them to cd/dvd regards danzil

  19. you will need try data recovery software...because you have deleted.try your best not to use that pc until you have the software.the more hard drive activity you do the more chance of wiping it out... regards danzil......try doing a search in teh search box type in *.doc this will search your pc for all word document ya never know

  22. can you post the dump.txt file, so i can ake a look for you......download memtest as well boot from the floppy and allow it to test ya ram,,,takes 24 hours,,,,, all do an inegrity check on ya hard drive, scandisk. etc. do you have a nvidia graphics card,,,,i know that stop error was due to an outdated driver...happened to me....try the newest driver if so from http://www.nvidia.com let me know if you need anymoree assistance regards danzil
