  1. Glad to hear that your problem is now sorted.
  2. I am sorry that you didn't get a response to your original question. Are you OK with the external drive now ?
  3. Could you let us know which email provider you are using. It would help :)
  4. Sorry that you are still having problems. I will let AWS help - if he can. Keep us posted.
  5. Hi Did you try what AWS suggested.? Keep us updated
  6. Hi, Sorry to hear that you have lost all of your music. I don't use iPod or iTunes so my assistance will be limited I am afraid. Is this link of any use ? click here I also found this - click here I think this may be the better option.
  7. Thanks for that. I am sure somebody with the same problem will benefit from this :)
  8. Glad to hear that you got it sorted. If you could post what you did to fix it - this may help others. :)
  9. Hi and welcome to ExTS 1 - Is this a laptop ? 2. -If so ......... Do you have a monitor that you can plug in and try ? You may have to use the Fn key and F5 or F8 to toggle between the screen and monitor. Look for 2 rectangular symbols on the F keys. 3. - Can you hear anything coming from the machine? [ hard drive spinning / Windows startup chimes ] 4. - You posted this in the phones / Android forum. I am assuming that this is not what you wanted?
  10. Just a thought ..... You aren't running two Anti-Virus are you? Which Operating System are you running ?
  11. Hi and welcome to ExTS We don't like making recommendations for the reason you have given above. What one person likes another thinks of as "a disgrace". Look for one that has a SSD Drive - you may have to settle for a much smaller hard drive.
  12. Glad to hear that you managed to fix your problem :)
  13. No problem Ray :) Thinking about this .... If it is happening even when you don't click on Chrome then it may be advisable to reset Chrome. see here - Hope this helps.
  14. Hi Ray, This message usually occurs if Chrome was open [ even shrunk to the bottom of the page ] when you shut the machine down. You do not need to restore the pages [ opens up where you left off browsing ] Make sure you close Chrome before you switch off if you don't want to see this again.
  15. No problem Ray - let me know how you get on
  16. Hi, Glad that worked for you. At least you will be able to transfer your photos. I think it is probably a setting on your phone preventing you from transfering in the usual way. Stay safe.
  17. Hi, Thanks for the images. If you were able to transfer from the SD Card to the PC then there is nothing wrong with the functionality of the PC. Could the missing images be held on internal memory? [ not the SD card ] If so take a look below to transfer from Internal Memory to SD Card. [ I can't verify this - sorry ] From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps. These instructions apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout. Tap Samsung folder then tap My Files . Tap Internal storage. Select the directory/folder that contains the file(s). (e.g., DCIM, Pictures, Music, etc.) Tap the Menu icon https://scache.vzw.com/kb/images/common/menu_icon.gif (upper-right). Tap Edit. Select (check) the desired file(s). To select all files, tap All (upper-left). Tap Move (lower-left). Tap the Folder icon (upper-left) to return to the 'My Files' page. Tap SD card. Select the directory/folder that you wish to move the file(s) to. (e.g., DCIM, Pictures, Music, etc.) Tap Move here. You can then transfer from the SD Card as you did in the last post. Obviously this is a work-around and not a solution.
  18. Hi, Thank you for the extra information. You say that you can copy and paste images from one file to another on the PC. This implies that there is nothing wrong with that function. I don't have an S8 to confirm this ...... Can you check this on your phone please? Samsung Galaxy S8 Plug the USB cable into the phone and the computer. Touch and drag the notification bar down. Touch Tap for other USB options. Touch the desired option (e.g., Transfer media files). The USB setting has been changed. You need to pick the appropriate setting for transfering photos. Please let me know if the setting needed to be altered or was already set correctly.
  19. Hi Jim, Glad that you were able to sort your WiFi out. Your iPhone problem could be one for Starbuck - I will ask him to take a look :)
  20. If this is the answer to copying a file from one location to the Desktop - then Copy and Paste seems to be OK. Your Free Space is fine. Moving an image from your phone to computer produces a problem. You didn't explain how you are attempting to transfer the images from your phone. Have you tried both Copy and Paste / drag and Drop ?
  21. Did you try moving just one image ? Once you have highlighted the images - how are you attempting to transfer them to the computer? [Copy and Paste / Drag and Drop ? ] How much free disk space do you have left on your computer? Can you Copy and Paste images from a file already on the computer to the Desktop? [ I am trying to determine if the Copy and Paste function is working properly ]
  22. Glad to hear that you have sorted your problem :)
  23. Have you tried swapping the SSD and M2 connections on the Motherboard? Otherwise I am out of ideas :( I did read somewhere that with some Dell machines this is "normal" I know yours didn't do this originally.
  24. Hi Jim Those WiFi dongles are not the most reliable. Keep us updated :)
  25. Hi, Try right clicking on one of the JPG images to highlight > then CTRL + C Go to your Desktop and CTRL + V This should paste the image on your Desktop. To select more images hold CTRL down and click on the selected images. Then CTRL + C CTRL + V will paste them It may be better if you create a folder on your Desktop and paste the images into this.
