I keep scanning but my icon is always yellow when I turn my computer on - Why does the program not recognize my scans? View this thread

Here's my examination using project management: How could there be 738 MB of updates that must be applied to the OS, essentially twice the size of the OS installation? What did the consumer purchase? Essentially conducting day-to-day global operations to more than 11,000 industry professionals, SMEs and corporations. I'm downsizing to just an Android tablet and Android phone. I am running windows 7 32bit, and using the windows media player streaming service, and also Serviio to stream media to my PS3. This has been working fine for some time, but overnight both these services stopped working. When I logged into windows I got the message that windows firewall Had blocked Serviio and the option to allow access to private or public networks I selected access to private network. In windows media player I selected More Streaming Option and got the message Media Streaming is not turned on, and a button to turn on media streaming, click on this button and it goes grey but nothing happens. When I turn off windows fire wall both program's work perfectly so I suspect the problem is with windows firewall, when going through the trouble shooting option in windows firewall I got the option to do a system restore, apparently there had been a critical update a 2:57 in the morning, I tried to restore before this point but it did not solve my problem with windows media player or with serviio. Checking update review history I found 2 updates both definition updates for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (Definition 1.145.97.0) and KB2310138(Definition 1.145.14.0) View this thread

I'm having trouble with microsoft security essentials recognizing my scans...everyday when i turn on my pc and i see the mse ion, it is always in the warning mode, telling me to scan my computer, that's it's been a while since i scanned and that isn't true. i scan everyday and it shows the date of the last scan....and it's funny, because the date is correct, but yet it says i haven't scanned....please help.....I've already uninstalled and re-installed thinking the program was installed incorrectly. I am getting 30 to 40 "updates" a day to Windows 7 Home Premium. My wife, who is running Windows 7 Professional might get one or two. Also, many times, my computer tries to boot up after "installing" these updates and then indicates that configuring them failed and it is reverting. Is Windows 7 Home Premium really that lousy??? I received and attempted to install KB 2767916 to correct a conflict between Office 2007 and 2013. I do not have Office 2013 and so the update does not install. However I keep receiving the update notification (normally within a few minutes of running the update). I ran the Windows Update Fix It from MS to no avail.
